He doesn’t have the smarts, we can’t have him at our club as the key game maker and expect to be up there.
Mitchell damn Pearce is even streets ahead.

Not about smarts, as mentioned Andrew Johns called the same play and he had an overview of the field. Hunt didn’t execute the kick.

This team would sing with a half like Smith.

Looking back Billy Smith played a lot out of dummy half. I have always wondered whether it would work now, Hunt may well be suited to what Bennett did with Berrigan in attack and defence. Bennett didn’t take Hunt a step further, defend him wide while playing dummy half.

I’m not sure what it would mean for the other half/hooker with us. In defence it would be preferable to have a bigger body (Stagg), but you’d like a few more ball skills. Bird might be a player that could do it, along with Murray and Radley.

This is of course in lieu of a player like Cameron Smith who has combined 9 and 7 throughout and dominated the ruck.
