Look, I'm not trying to take away from his other achievements. Generally he has been an excellent player who has represented NSW and Aust very well.

If that is the case, you came on a bit strong. Give the guy a break. He busted his gut for NSW, and even as a Parra fan, I was damned proud of him. If he wants to milk a penalty because the rules allow him to, good luck to him.
Not much different to TBA if you ask me.
In 20 years time, no one will remember the dive, and the win for the series will be a statistic.

As for the incident, I'm surprised that you have forgotten. I'll drop it and apologize for even bringing it up.

if you ask me ross is the disgraceful coward for grabbing kennedy and throwing him around, what if kennedy had a spinal injury he could have put him in a wheelchair for life!

i dont think it was a dive...

at least it wasnt as bad as Thurstons in game 1...gets tackled and acts like Rivaldo, 3 seconds later he is on his feet

do you really agree with that?
milking a penalty is one thing, but taking a dive....

the one and only reason i dont like soccer is that they're a bunch of prima-donnas, too much acting not enough aggression-like-vim for my liking.

so the last thing i want is for league (supposedly one of the toughest sports in the world) is to be reduced to the point when someone is tapped (albeit solidly) on the chin drops like a sack of potatoes to the ground.

they're tough men, so they should act like it, not expose loopholes in the rules. thats poor sportsmanship.

OK, maybe I did come on a bit strong. I'm gonna go and change the word coward to dog, if thats better (I'll also put anote in the original post to state that the heading has been changed and that I originally used the word coward just to be fair.

But look, my point is still valid. Damn it, its Origin. He should have stood up, walked over to Crocker and broken his jaw. But instead he took a dive like a little pansy girl just to get a penalty. I don't care if the penalty was in extra time and won us the damned game, the right thing to do was to get up, show those sister f**king Queenslanders that they don't have what it takes to hurt us, and ripped Crocker's head off next time he came within punching distance. What Kennedy did was a dog act and was a disgrace to Australia's greatest State. There is no other way of looking at it - its the damned ugly truth.

And Suity - don't apologise for bringing it up, just tell who it is :) I've been sitting on the couch trying to figure out who you mean? I can only think of Stodgy and Franchise, but both of them got what they deserved. I don't have any problem with you bringing it up at all, but I do have a problem with you bringing it up and then not reminding me. It's like when you get asked a question and the answer is right on the tip of your tongue but you can't perfectly remember it, and it bugs you for days and just gives you the sh*ts. So come on, out with it dude.

forgot to add: of course its almost impossible to prove a dive either way... but surely you all recognise that it is a factor creeping up into the modern game and needs to be stampped out.

It's creeping to the game because the rules allow it.

Andrew Johns needs to be thrown into the kennel with Kennedy too.

He stayed down faking a knee injury to chew some time in that 3rd minute when QLD had all the early pressure.

He's a liar too -

A visibly frustrated Kennedy said he would never stage for a penalty no matter what the circumstances.

"There is no freaking way I would ever take a dive on the footy field, so I want to put that to rest straight away," he said. "I was a little stunned at the time. I don't really remember the incident that well. I remember getting clipped and then the next thing was (trainer) Ronnie Palmer yelling in my ear."

of course they won't admit to it.

and yes it happens in Club footy, but Club footy is a different scenario. I have no doubt that if the incident had have happened in a Club game there would have been a hell of a lot more talk about it. But because one of the lovey dove, act-as-if-they-are-gods rep players did it, it was passed over as if it had never happened.

and no offense macca, but that is exactly why Origin is not 1/10th what it used to be. what ever happened to artie smacking cronin? these days everything is so clean and nice that the very heart and soul of origin is gone. when was the last time we had a fight in origin? like a REAL fight? have we had one in the 21st century?

there has been this whole hoopla about 'cattledog' since that doco before O2, but without a shadow of a doubt if someone had have called cattledog last night and then let loose there would have been hell to pay. and Origin is the lesser for it.

Mate I don't mind a bit of a blew on the field, but it's not what the majority of people wish to see. You're talking about someone ripping off someones head :D. I have to say I have enjoyed watching most of the recent origin games.

I'm not so sure it needs a blew. That's what boxing is for. It's cleaner and nicer becasue kids are the furure of the game. Parents don't want to see that kind of stuff. More women are supporting the game too.

I do see what you're saying, but you are in the minority.

Yeah, another Les Boyd on Brohman incident, that'd do wonders for the games image, wouldnt it?

Here's a thought, next time we play Manly, why don't you tell him he is a dog for taking a dive in Origin to his face, and then I wonder who the real pansy will be?
