The qld police have covered all bases on the evidence that is before them and no judge will make a ruling on someone that hasn't been charged! ... Depends on what is dug up on the girls past history. It would seem all along the NRL was not overly concerned about this incident. The NRL's new integrity unit seems to be able to get enough info from the police to make a pretty good judgement about the end result of the cases that have arisen of late. A person is found to have not a case to answer with both he Police finding so and the NRL Integrity (involving a Police senior person) ditto,sjhould not be allowed to get away with it.

Te'o ready to sue

South Sydney forward Ben Te'o is threatening legal action against the Nine Network, Fairfax Media and News Ltd over the Katie Lewis assault allegations. They were first made in April, but clearly Te'o has been seeking the advice of lawyers. He waited until his football commitments finished with the Rabbitohs - he was also involved with the Kangaroo train-on squad but missed the final cut for the trip to the World Cup. Te'o has said from early on that he handled a difficult situation in an appropriate way. The Queensland representative was offered the chance to tell his side of the story - on or off the record - before Lewis went public, but declined. Queensland police found there was insufficient evidence to charge him.
