The problem with shoulder charges is all of the variables and the unpredictability of the runners behaviour. To get the charge right you need to anticipate speed, direction and trajectory and then aim for where the player will BE not where the player IS when you launch yourself. If he jinks or squats or flinches or drops, even a bit, suddenly you've collected his scone and you're on a suspension. And maybe you seriously injured the guy too. If you're just executing a tackle, the consequences of small miscalculations are not the same.

Yes, at the end of the year there'll be a package of 2012 highlights. There will be plenty of massive hits, noone of which will include dangerous head high contact.

Contact was shoulder first, just because Groat is a soft baby doesn't mean Teo should not belt the daylights out of him, it was so funny watching him on the ground...and guess what I was watching it with Tigers fans...guess what they said "great shot". These tackles are what fans want.

He is not soft. He got smashed and got up after 20 secs or so. Full credit to him.

I actually thought Groat did pretty dam well to get up and walk off the field.

He was out cold at impact, and was out cold for a good 30 seconds at least.
