Ben Teo Facing 3-4 weeks

I wouldn't have a problem if the NRL had of come out after the Pritchard incident and said they'd be taking a hard stance against shoulder charges. But they didn't and now one player is copping 4 weeks instead of the precedent set earlier.

I don't have a problem with the decision either Johnsy, as stated but the grading is obviously where I have a problem.

This is his first ever suspension.

He is now attempting to have the charge downgraded (IMO I think he'll end up missing 1-2 weeks). Just wait neil the hearing is finished and he is handed a suspension, he may end up getting what he deserves.

Broncos Te'o to miss two games

AAP Wed, Apr 11, 2012 - 8:55 PM

Brisbane back-rower Ben Te'o has avoided a four-match suspension after successfully having his grade three dangerous contact charge downgraded to a grade two at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday.
Te'o will now miss two matches instead of four.

Hopefully this will end all the tears of outrage ;-), I think 2 weeks is about right.

2 is still too many.

Barely deserved a week.

But it's done, let's just hope they remain consistent.

In comparison to Pritchards hit - 2 game is reasonable.

However I think as a whole, the NRL needs to clamp on contact with the head - whether it is a shoulder charge or otherwise.

You should be running the ARLC.:clap:

Mate if I was running the Commission it would be like this :

1)No half an hour of pre match bullshit before games. Tv would come on, sides would be running out, anthem would be played and kickoff would take place. All up 5/10 minutes.

2) Bon Jovi would never ever appear in anything remotely associated with the game.

3 ) Shoulder charges would be encouraged and bonus points awarded.

4) Bunniesman would be banished from Redfern, All Souffs home matches and would have to wear a electronic monitoring device. He would also be banned from and computer.

5) St George Mergiwarra would demerge and the Steelers would return. St george would be kicked out of the comp becuase of supporters like redvscotty.

6) Finals would be : Quarter Finals ( 2 weeks ) , Semi Finals, then Finals. Real simple.

7) All expansion sides would be admitted as long as they had a cool jersey. Newtown Jets readmitted.

8) Chris Sandow would be banned from the game . Period.

9 ) Nrl channel would be 24/7 league league LEAGUE

10 ) Channel 9 would lose the rights, community Tv would pick them up and generate more followers with a better product with the use of only one analogue Tv Camera.

11) Belmore, Redfern, every suburban ground redeveloped except for Brookvale. Manly suck.

Can we please get that in writing?? I'll defend the train.

I can only assume that fantastic analogy was in reference to the Thurston boot to David Williams????

Take a look at this video and tell me that Williams moved his head into Thurston's boot which was moving like "a train on a track" presumably meaning it could not deviate to anywhere but where it ended up.

That was Thurston in the motion of kicking BEFORE Williams had his head there was it?????????:crazy::crazy:

F*cking idiot.

Oh, 4 weeks is way too much for the T'eo hit.

As do I.......although I think one week would have been more appropriate IF after all,

as you say

the judiciary is being consistent.

Suspension is correct & consistent. I think you may have missed where I wrote the grading is the issue.

So the Pritchard hit is a Early plea no suspension with a clean record

Teo is two week suspension with a clean record

That takes care of grades one and two.

I assume Grade 5 is the images tonight of Hoppa on Galloway

As far as I am concerned Te'os shoulder came into contact with Groats head and deserved to be reported. The grading was way off though IMO. It may not have been identical to the Pritchard hit but it was close enough to get the same charge. I'll take 2 weeks over 4 weeks anyday but hopefully they get the grading system worked out.

Yes it is. Especially when someone ducks into it and makes it a helluva lot worse than it should be. Bullshittrocken

Hoppa was referred straight to the judiciary, no grading. Hence 16 weeks, which is much more than a grade 5 charge. Grade 5 would be looking at about 10 weeks.

Contact with the head - illegal.

Two week suspension.

Fair result.

Precedent is now set after the Pritchard and Teo hits, provided we move forward with consistency, I am satisfied.
