OK now that we are "all" agreed that we don't want him..... when do you think the signing announcement will be made

Not all of the weeks chook raffle money is in to Cronulla leagues offices as yet and not all of the players have been able to chip in for a whip around....what with Easter, Anzac Day and all.
As soon as it has been counted, an offer will be forthcoming.

If I were to read headlines tomorrow, saying something like...

"MARSHALL SIGNS WITH DRAGONS!", or even something corny like.. "SAINT BENJI!", then I think I'd be hard pressed not to get at least a little bit exited. Let's be honest, the man does have some skills.

Benji and Sir Gareth? Yes please.

FFS sign Benji today!! So predictable in attack.. Marshall would add spark and unpredictably to our attack not seen in our team since the days of Mundine and Phil Blake.. Benji is fired up to prove everyone wrong!! He's too good to fail!!

Although we have f**k all go forward, We have used three 7's in the first 8 games and none have looked that capable. Would Marshall be any less capable than what's been on offer? Personally, I think not. We also have no signed 7 for next season. I'm sorry, But Quinlan ain't no 7.

Granted he may be talking himself up, However, Marshall was quoted this week saying he was unfit and lacking in motivation last season, Apparently he has that hunger again and has something to offer.

The latest is Melbourne may be in front to secure his services, Bellyache has made some very cagey comments about Marshall in the last few days but who knows. For mine, If the Dragons had a bit of coin to throw aound, They should have a crack at Marshall. Do we have any better options at this point?

A front rower would be bloody nice though. Just watched G.Burgess score for Souffs, f**k me, What an animal.

If anything the club should try and sign Benji, he may not be what he was but he is highly respected by all in League and could change the way we recruit as in he is a player that could have a influence on bringing other stars to the team and sponsors are always willing to get on board as Benji is News and News is Money.

Every Australian half combo from the last 100 years could not perform playing from their own 20.
We don't have the firepower to get field position to enable structured attack.
This, coupled with fatigued penalties, laying in the ruck etc, means when we get the ball we are sucking in air rather than competing
Our entire forward structure is outdated
The effort is there but the direction, will and desire is not
Roll the sleeves up and smash them.
Docker and Plum don't seem to have issues giving away kilo's to opponents.

Carney tore his hamstring today, I suspect that will fast track the signing of Marshall at the sharks...

This.

As i said, put Andrew Johns and Thurston in our side we would be 4/8.
Period.

Anyone pointing the fingers at our halves and backs needs to review the first 3rd of the season.

Absolutely agree. We have fire power in our backline, great back three, Widdop, Beale. But when we're flat out trying to get out of our own half it renders our best attacking players ineffective.

Add to that the petrol we consume as we're scrambling to stop tries, whatever shape we had at the start of the game goes out the window after about 20 mins. So we resort to hail mary plays from players like Merrin and Dugan.

It's a vicious cycle and it all starts with forwards who can lay a platform. Halves won't make a difference... No point arguing about the bus driver when the bus has no tyres.

The moment we get our heads around this we will turn it around.
