If Benji genuinely wants to come to the Sharks then this is playing out perfectly.

Sharks first offer was obviously strong enough so that he jumped ship from union.

Having agreed to terms its then 'game on' to see if a frenzy can be created, knowing that he has his baseline covered and possibly get a top up on original offer.

The mates vs money headline that the Daily Crap is now running works perfectly as a way of then allowing not only this 'top up' to occur (to get closer to the Saints offer) but let the world see him as a good guy who wants to play with mates not a money mercenary.

If he does end up going to the Saints certainly this has not worked out perfectly, as he has been tainted now way too much by this rumour circus and many particularly Dragons fans will feel they have gone in way too hard and high to get their man.

To be fair I don't think he really created this circus. Hasn't really said much, its all been rumours and paper talk.
