What happens if we get Benji and he is hopeless? Can you see him being dropped? Not a chance.

I was dubious about Penani but he has started to deliver. My mail is we don't have the money for Benji or not enough anyway. We will never sign a boom youngster from another club. Won't pay upside. So we need to recruit and bring players through the ranks. Put them on decent money on long contracts.

300k for Lichaa is big money. But how much to replace with a decent hooker these days? What would Jake Friend be worth $550k? So we get Ennis for what 300k. Player on the decline who will need replacing in 18 months anyway. In the long run ,Lichaa might have been worth the punt. Hasler thinks so. We will see.

For a bloke who was pretty ordinary in his last few seasons of NRL... took the retirement package to union and was a complete failure and wants back into NRL ... I would imagine is absolutely loaded on the salaries he has been commanding for years... and apparently agreed to terms with us weeks ago. The longer this plays out the more I think the bloke is just an absolute money whore.
