I still want Benji at fullback.

I'm surprised by Hodgson's reaction to such suggestions tbh. I have always (and still do mind you) as the consummate team player.

Look at the footage again, watc where the tigers defenders are before benji makes contact, how many players put them selvesin a similar position and make the tackle how benji did. Benji has a habit of using his arms "too much" in a tackle. IMO it is his technique.

For the record, he has only been using this technique this year - ironically it was probably to prevent dislocated shoulders. Unfortunately it's left him with another injury.

imo benji would be just as, if not more, likely to suffer another dislocation playing at fullback as playing newhere else. Playing at fullback you do make less tackles, but you make more one on one tackles.

hope he comes back stronger, but doubtful. shoulder injuries are notorious for re-occurrance.

Wests Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall will undergo surgery tomorrow (Thursday) on his right shoulder.

Marshall met with club doctor Donald Kuah and shoulder specialist Dr Des Bokor this afternoon to view the CT scan taken on Monday.

“The good news is that he has a fracture through the socket which fortunately is undisplaced,’’ Dr Kuah said.

“Both of the previous reconstructions of the shoulder are intact.

“He will have a clean up of the joint and probably be in a brace for four weeks to allow the bone to heal.

“The pleasing news is that Benji will be playing again later this season.’’

Benji at fullback.

Positionally, under various kicks and other things.....

Do you tigers fans realise how many points you guys are going to concede with him there????
