I'm not claiming anything champ. You are the one talking the big talk. Back it up!

Obviously you can't, because you made it up.

A screenshot from Facebook that doesn't say that Bennett wanted to move on Gidley but was overruled is your source?

Seriously?

Now, tell me where I said I was related to the Gidleys?

Stop lying.

But your "source" doesn't say that in the screenshot. It's just a random fb screenshot.

I honestly think he did try his best, and if he couldn't do it, I don't think it was his fault, the players are much more to blame than the coach.

They should keep Mullen/Hodgo and the younger guns, and swap the reserve grade in with the first grade players :>

But on the eve of his grand final duel with Cowboys champion Johnathan Thurston, Hunt admits the prospect of departing Brisbane to achieve his halfback dream was real.

The seeds for a possible defection were first planted two years ago, when Hunt was off-contract and had attracted interest from Cronulla and Newcastle.

See, it's hard to like Bennett when shit like this pops up. Around the same time we resigned Roberts yeah? No doubt Bennett stopped Hunt from possibly coming here.

We never thought he will never win another comp. We were and continue to be glad he is gone, he looked human without a bottomless pit of money.

Dragons

though I'm sure someone will come up an excuse for that as well

It's just hilarious people blaming Bennett for Newcastles woes. Do it all you like. Knights were a rabble before, during, and after Bennett. It won't make it any less true.

Knights are the only team Bennett hasn't had success with. The only.

Your club is the common denominator. But yeah... That Bennett bastard.... All his fault

Nobody is doubting our shitty position - before, during or after Bennett. Given Bennett's stature of being such a great coach it would have been nice for him to leave the club in a better state than he received it, but I doubt that can be said. For the very large amount of money spent during his tenure we got some short-term results, but nothing that can be seen as any sort of legacy...

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on Bennett.

Agree Knight Vision.

Bennett has been very fortunate that he has had very good rosters with most premierships being delivered on the back of a laden of representative stars.

He struggled with Newcastle i believe because he didn't/couldn't deliver a playing structure that suited the strengths of the team he had but had tried to instill a playing structure that had a team full of representative stars which is based on a good defensive structure foremost and individual brilliance of players in attack.

He also went after a quick fix with available players without building for the future which was always going to go unstuck for the club if the coaching regime didn't go the 4 years.

Bennett is a very good coach with a good playing roster but didn't adjust his methods to maximise the playing strength of the knights at the time and as such is not as great a coach as many people believe.

Haha, not as great a coach as many believe? In relation to what?

Name an NRL coach who is better

That article is probably the best thing Dillon has ever written. 100% spot on.

In relation to being regarded as the greatest coach ever. Gibson and Warren were game changes and also brought unfashionable teams to grand finals. Something Bennett couldn't do with Newcastle.

Almost got it does not cut it in the history books and we are the only stand alone club never to lose a first grade Grand Final! No other club can boast that. Sorry Wayne but too bad so sad. No sympathy at all from me. Had your chance but took the soft option and the way it was lost was pure universal karma square up! That is the price of walking away from a club in need. There was something poetic about that loss.

Stop lying.

He still hasn't explained why he claimed he never watches Newy games and why he claimed he was related to one of the first grade players.

He's a compulsive liar. He can't stop.

Wow really? We have something to boast about? Cool, I didn't know this. +1 on the Bennett rant too.

Anyone else enjoy seeing the Broncos lose last night? I did, especially after playing Bennett ball for the last 30 minutes and it backfiring on them.

They played so boring in the 2nd half. They were trying not to lose instead of trying to win.
