i think benny is just getting warmed up for the task of coming up against probably the best center in the game atm Idris, cant wait for this one ,i think Jamaal might just have him for pace, but its the deffence that might favour us . round 6

oh yeah, what a match up...

Is this thread a gee up? Ben is an average FG player against one of the best centres in the game, please don't use them in the same sentence, Ben will get slaughtered by him, i'm one not looking forward to it

Idris isn't that great. He's quite slow off the mark and the kind of player Smith can easily handle in defence if he is on song. Let's remember Reddy is a lot smaller and he owned him in the prelim in '09 just by tough defence.

out of Smith or Loko, I'd take Benny.

I wouldn't consider any of the old hacks at Wenty.

Won't they be on opposite sides of the field? I thought Smith was playing right centre this week?

Than Ben or Idris?

Ben: 192cm, 101kg

Joel: 191cm, 92kg

Pretty sure it was Inu who pumped Idris in 09, not Reddy - Inu playing on left and Idris on right.

Did it mainly by running him ragged, in conjunction with Burt.

But Idris has grown up a lot since then.

If Reddy stays at left centre he will be marking Idris, not Smith.

It was Inu who showed Idris up in that final, and if possibly the slowest back in the comp can do that, Smith or Reddy would have no problems doing it too.

He's a goose for disagreeing with you? Idris is a good player but far from the perfect centre. He gets owned in defence a lot of the time but his lateral movement is very poor. It's not his fault really because he is massive, but he can be slow off the mark in defence. So running a smaller but nifty bloke like Inu at hime constantly like we have constantly done in the past is enough to tire him out and get around him.

What he lacks in defence makes up for in attack, as u said very hard to stop, something we lack in the backs!
