Wallace might not be the best hooker in the NRL. But sadly he is definitely the best we have.

Rein is poor even in reserve grade and none of the other hookers at the club have screamed first grade to me.

We need to try converting a player or go out and sign one. What we have isn't good enough. Although i doubt we have room to move in the cap to sign one.

So poor that in reserve grade he's only made the team of the week 3 or 4 times, which is more than any other player in the comp. Must be going like a busted....

I don't get the hate for Cartwright ,if anyone has suffered from a coach who has no idea it is him , I highly doubt he wants to play 5/8 but he does and whilst he does this he is not developing as a second row as he should and the longer this occurs the harder it is going to be for him to further his career.

He will certainly never get picked for representative honors playing 6.

I would give TMM a shot at halfback and give Cleary a spell in ISP. He is really struggling this year.

TMM played halfback yesterday. His communication, organisation and ability to steer his side around the park was excellent.

Playing him at HB in ISP seems like it might have been with a view to something.

swap TMM & Moylan - moylan wants his hands on the ball - move him to 6 ffs. TMM has the speed at 1 and defensively is solid.

as much as we need Mansour - i dont expect him to be back to his damaging best straight away, he might need a full month of football to get the body right.

very crucial we win as many games as we can in the next 6-8 weeks - hopefully we can turn our form around in the origin period seeing as we will most likely be full strength.

Kikau on the bench, send tamou down to reserves for a reality check - he's got another thing coming if he thinks he can half ass his way to retirement with the coin he's on.....

Why play TMM at fullback when we have Edwards though? I mean it might make sense if we were struggling for fullback options but id prefer Edwards of DWZ.

Apart from City of course.

Worth a try if he's going to be here next year.
Daley wanted Moylan at 6. But all the teams refusing to allow their players to play has forced the side named. Carty is at 6 purely because we let our guys play and we had no decent backs.

The biggest shock is we had 1 player only who deserved rep footy. Isaah Yeo. Yet he wasnt picked for Country. Unless injured thats a huge injustice.

City seemed worse effected by the players banned. The City lock has 4 NRL games to his name and I had to google him. We account for almost a third of the team.

Lol, city picked him at 5/8?! (Although so many players were pulled out)

Seriously Griffin has screwed over Cartwright big time.
They did. But this one isnt on Griffin. Stuart, Hasler etc. Boned the teams by withdrawing their players. Daley wanted Moylan at 6.

I agree that Cleary hasn't been standing out thus far this season but that is more to do with the way we are playing as a team rather than him as an individual. He should not be made a scapegoat for the under performance of others and personally I would stick solid with the Cleary / TMM combination. If anyone should be playing NSW Cup it is surely Bryce Cartwright who despite his injuries is fast becoming a 'myth'. Plenty of potential but rarely delivers and flatters to deceive on most occasions. I thought TMM was one of our better performers prior to his injury/demotion/dropping which ever you prefer.

At the end of the day, there must be problems within the playing group. I don't know what the issue is, whether it is the coach, the coaching staff as a whole, the conditioning staff or simply issues within the players but there is clearly a major problem for us to be under performing the way we are.

Given our performances thus far in nine rounds, sadly, I don't see us turning things around. We are a rabble basically both in defence and attack. You could argue the heartbreaking loss to the Roosters and golden point loss to the Bunnies were four points which would have placed us in a far better position but the Round 1 loss to the Dragons pretty much sums up how our season has gone. We were dreadful in Round 1 and despite a our two wins against lowly opposition we have performed well below expectations.

While our season is not over I have to say, with much sadness, this is another season where our expectations are not going to be met.

For the first time in many, many years I didn't watch a game. I couldn't bear to watch the Broncos game and I am glad I didn't.

Cartwright was bad, so too was Moylan.

I was impressed by a few of guys - Gutherson, Sims, de Belin and Ross. None has perfect games but were all effort. Wish our blokes played with that sort of ticker each week.

Tamou just ran more metres for city than he has for us all year. What a buy.

He had a Hooker today who was quick out of dummy half and engaged defenders around the ruck before passing which ensured he wasn't swamped by defenders and got plenty of ball 1 v 1 or 1 v 2. He also got the ball a few times two passes off the ruck which gave him a lot more room. This doesn't happen with us.

Wallace was tremendous last year and I'll never question his heart but I honestly think our forwards would improve immensely in attack with a change at 9.
