I think it's fair to say that that British pack of Gurgess, Morley, Graham, Ellis and Surgess all at their prime would match anything thrown at them by the Aussies or Kiwis at their best. The Poms have never failed to match it in the middle with us - the miners and mill workers are great at the grunt work - it's the lack of any sense of creativity in the halves that has cost them.
FWIW I also reckon that Ellis is the best of them (no bias there:)). Always carried our pack and straightened up our attack. Throw in awesome footwork and a sensational offload and he was close to the complete back-rower.

I'm biased, but Morley for me.

Would never denigrate the likes of Burgess, Ellis and Graham but his performances in big games, like pretty much all of the finals and GF's from 2002 - 04 were epic.

I don't think any of them struck fear into opposition packs quit like he did either and he had a nice touch about his game with the ball too which was massively under rated.

I honestly don't know what your club were thinking. He's been just as much of a flop in SL the last few years. He had possibly the worst game I have ever seen from a pro in a London Broncos game last year.

Burgess no questions asked. He was the Best player in the game full stop when he left. As good a forward as I've ever seen play the game.

i was wondering if someone was going to mention the big lump after his performance on Friday. The lad had a great game. I was starting to like him.

Then when someone asked him who his kids would support St George or Warrington
He said "They'll be supporting Manchester United, then its up to them if they want to follow NRL or Super League"

Back on the plonker list you big daft wanker

Welcome to Rugby League in England.

That is a guy from Warrington who when asked which RL team his kids will support basically said it does not matter as long as his kids support United.

Burgess is the best forward Ive seen in 30 years from any country. Just a freak. No-one can do what he can. Its that simple.
