The Warriors to win and as Poul stated it would take attention away from the union world cup and when the all blacks choke again as they're going to then it's a double whammy for rugby league.

Would be good for an interstate clash so its one city vs another though ... obviously I would like to see the Dragons again but even if not, it would be good to see Sydney vs GC/Brisbane/NQLD/NZ.

On a personal level, I would love to see Saints play Melbourne and reverse the 1999 result ... or another classic Sydney final against Souths/Dogs/WT/Eels

Cowboys v Tigers

Why?

The 2005 grand final was the most watchable, entertaining grand final in a long time - where teams tried to outscore each other, rather than out-wrestle each other. If you like gritty defensive games then good on you, but most casual league fans don't.

In 2011 the Tigers will be an absolute powerhouse - the Cowboys will have a totally new look team full of young blokes with a point to prove.

There's the whole QLD v NSW element, plus there is enough emphasis on razzle-dazzle attacking footy to attract casual sports fans from all around the country.

But most of all...it's the payback factor.

Putting aside my Eels cap, I'd like to see the Warriors win. A win against Melbourne would be great - the Vics would be interested and I think everyone else would back the Warriors.

I agree, if TV ratings are to go by, Melbourne vs NZ would probably be the best as NSW and Qld have a large core support, NZ has some core support but potential for a large bandwagon effect while Melbourne also have a massive bandwagon effect.

I believe that a NZ vs Melbourne GF would cover all bases for TV ratings, so long as the stadium is full.

Rabbitohs V Broncos. Sydney's most popular club (not counting Dragons bandwagon members who will leave as soon as they don't win a GF) verse the most popular club in the NRL. NSW v Queensland. I'd say it would have a chance at breaking tv records for a gf.

St George V Melbourne would definately be the best GF result. And for the good of the game Storm would have to win.

That would be the biggest reversal ever. One year management of an NRL club cheat and field an illegal team with unsuspecting players.

Next year with a new team and officials running the club, they make the GF and take it out to prove in no uncertain terms they ARE the best NRL team in the comp.


Sadly it won't happen. St George ain't got the quality to be a champion team to make it again 2 years in a row.

Weve got the most members out of any other club in the league, as well as having international appeal due to Rusty (mostly in the states) & the South Sydney brand.

Itd also be the best possible outcome for NRL, in terms of South Sydneys history and sucsess
