"a champion team always beats a team of champions."
Teams with massive changes (like the roosters) will relay on individual brillance, which may get them over the line against lesser teams, but against a team with a decent defencive pattern (Melbourne, Manly, Parramatta) they will struggle to score points.
I think teams that have core players who have been together for a while will do well (Melbourne, Souths, Parramatta, Tigers). I don't relay rate the roosters pack for instance.
OMealy (showed this year he struggled)
Aurburson (showed without the support of smith or croncj he stuggled, the rooster have aweful halves)
Lapea (HIGHLIGHT of this pack)
Mason (hot/cold, turn it up for big games but was inconsistant. To intrested in talking)
Fitzy (over the hill, over the sand duns, and rolled into the ocean , should just give it away)
Tupou (one of the old rickys pets... over rated)
IMO this pack has nothing on the parramatta pack with the likes of Cayless, Hindy, Riddell and Moimoi. Plus young guys like Cordoba, Mateo, Hauraki and Paulo. Then back up of Robenson, Wagon and Gnulavou. In there, there is 4 internationals, plus Mateo (who was tauted as the next big thing). There is a blend of experiance and youth, plus young guys liek T.Williams, Oake, Mannah to come through. Over the last 2 years parramatta has blooded some relay good young players, and they will continue to over the next few years. So IMO this comment that parramatta has one of the worst pack in the comp is just stupid, week in week out last season they performed and beat the bulldogs pack 3 times, held their own against Melbourne twice, humiliated the Tigers pack, held off the warriors pack. They were the most efficent when it came to rapping up the ball, and created second phase play better than most of the teams in the comp. They have all the attributes to be on of the best packs in the comp on their day.
