Up to the Sixers now to keep the finals Stars free.

Stars final game is against the Sixers. Gotta think they've got to win to make it. So come on Sixers in a few days.

Someone tell me how many points you get for a win, and also bash boost point? Or is it 4 points for a win but the boost point can either give you one point or take it away?

I concur that some form of DRS needs to be implemented into the BBL. They take time to check for suspect no-balls on catches, they take time to check runouts, they take time to check if the fielder was touching the rope on a potential 4, they take time to check if the ball went for 4 or 6. Some of the decisions this summer have been absolutely inexcusable for the level of cricket being played. The technology is there, give each side 2 reviews each. I'd rather have games go 5-10 minutes longer and have nobody scratching their head as to why someone was out/was not out. Case in point Henriques last night, and I'm a Thunder supporter. His dismissal broke the Sixers back.

Also it's too complicated with the boost point, power surge, power play, Max factor, whatever I've forgotten. Regular fans might welcome new stuff as they've grown bored (or annoyed with the shit umpiring and lack of DRS) but new fans, or drunkards like me, surely find it confusing and a turn off. Simplify it and get rid of the shit umpiring. Also Warne.

I like the surge concept, just wish the commentators would shut up about when it's going to be used (much like declarations in tests). Maybe they could add a note that it needs to be used before the 18th over maybe, like in ODIs the 3rd batting power play has to be used before over 45.

The bash boost is ok in principle but needs to be weighted similar to the DLS method because sometimes it's too low and teams get a cheap point (Renegades vs Scorchers, for example) that they do not deserve (Renegades were absolutely belted in that game). Sometimes it's too high.

X-Factor is annoying and against what I deem the spirit of the game. 11 vs 11, no nonsense.
