Honest question, has there been an Australian cricketer in the past 30 years who has had greater wraps than Nic Maddinson and delivered less? Was talked up as a potential 100+ test player yet the past 5 years (aged 27-32 - which should be some of his best years) he’s barely been state/bbl quality.

Honest question, has there been an Australian cricketer in the past 30 years who has had greater wraps than Nic Maddinson and delivered less? Was talked up as a potential 100+ test player yet the past 5 years (aged 27-32 - which should be some of his best years) he’s barely been state/bbl quality.

Only player who comes to mind is Dan Cullen

Don't know him personally, had a one off meeting with him that wasn't too great but doesn't mean much.

Media has mentioned mental health issues so you never know. Probably got way too much pressure from that test where he was picked out of the blue.

Channel 7 have posted the footage. Petty for sure but 4 game ban worthy?? I don't think so... I mean, FFS, yeah you don't want players running on the pitch, but he was only practising his run up to the crease, for a game of hit n giggle T20 cricket, it's not like he was going to be able to create some mad footmarks for his spinners to use later in the game or something for the seamers to aim at outside off/leg stump.... The pitches are usually blocks of cement anyway....

Silly behaviour. If they want to punish him, they should be making him play more BBL, not less....
