LOL.

Ban seems excessive but I mean really? Tom Curran is an arrogant f**kwit who thinks he is above the game. No sympathy and I hope he doesn't get his ban overturned.

Was it him or his brother Sam who on Test debut got Warner out for 99 on boxing day only to be recalled for a no-ball.

I'm happy with the ban.
Im happy with the ban as well. There was no accident in what Curran did. It was done with full intent. The ump stood where he did to deter Curran from running on the pitch but he did it anyway.

People need to understand this.......intimidating a referee is simply not on. If you do so, expect a heavy punishment.

Decent knock by Silk to get the Sixers in a competitive position though they’re probably 10-15 short. Need to bowl well, I get the sense Curran would have helped there.

Not sure why you’d bowl dwarfshit when you’re defending 18 off the last over. He can take wickets but he’s also got some shockers in him. Luckily they got away with it.

Catching up with my 2 brothers last night for a beer.

Both said they could not give a toss about BBL. There cricket fans as well and purists like me. They prefer Australia in tests and ODI cricket. But just goes where the BBL is at.

I have watched probably 2 games all year of BBL

But is T20 cricket really that big and important to Australians do we really care about it enough.

Test Cricket and ODI World Cups seem to be pinnacle for most Australians.

T20 Franchise cricket is taking over the sport around the world but while it may be getting richer is the sport actually getting better.

Like Gutho's brothers I don't rate t20. It's easily my least preferred format to watch.

I especially bemoan the fact that t20 has eaten into ODI cricket. It's incredibly sad seeing x3/x5 ODI series which literally have second string squads due to player workload. Why bother playing them at all? The WC is over and cleary the cricket boards don't think they are important. I'd rather see those matches canned and brought back every 2 years for the WC instead of them being played whole 6 people watch from the stands.

T20 has brought in money. Batsman and bowlers have evolved. It's changed how teams play ODI and test cricket as well. So it has improved cricket in that sense.

Do this for me and I might get around it. 'Test' t20. Both teams get two innings of 20 overs. That's 80 overs total and I'll feel like I got my moneys worth.

Problem with the BBL is that there just isn’t enough talent for 8 teams. The cap should redistribute the talent but many players make so much more elsewhere so for the real difference makers it doesn’t really redistribute them across the league. You’ve essentially got two super clubs who actively compete for the leagues with most of the others hoping to sneak into the finals then knock the big teams over when it matters.

Case in point, in 12 season there have been 5 Scorchers vs Sixers finals and only 3 that contained neither. This season the Heat have started well but I wouldn’t bet against a Scorchers/Sixers final yet again.
