It’s good to see the Heat have gotten it together over the past few seasons and the Renegades are piecing a solid team together now so we can see some new competition.

The Sixers and to a lesser extent the Scorchers show how weak this tournament is, two sides that are well drilled and calm under pressure who over the past 5 seasons have won the lion share of their games on the back of this. I’ve lost count of how many times the Sixers have been set a score between 140-170 and chased it down in around 18-19 overs with minimum fuss.

I noticed a couple of weird things with apparel/jerseys this season.

- I noticed in the third match of the season (AS v ST), Jake Weatherald batted in a short sleeve jersey that didn't have the Flinders University sponsor on the front. Everyone else in the Strikers team had the sponsor on their jersey (short or long sleeve), and when Weatherald came out to field, he sported a long sleeve jersey WITH the Flinders University sponsor.

- Apart from Marcus Stoinis in the very first game, I haven't seen anybody wearing the golden caps this season. Have they been discontinued? If so, how come Stoinis was wearing one in the first game?
