Swapping Ross and Kimmorley for Ryles is almost like a dream come true. Not the fact we're recruiting Ryles, but the fact we're looking to boot two overpaid, underperforming ballerinas.

Ryles has got the skill to regain his status as a top class prop and if he can hit his straps again watch out. I don't know if i'd fork out $400k for him though but thats the price we're gonna have to compete to keep current and ex internationals in our game and not SL. But in saying that I'd definately cut Ross for him. Ross has spent more time on the sidelines than playing whilst he's been at the Shire and he's been nothing but drama.

Seeing we've signed Tupou we now have alot of high profile players that give away alot of unwarranted penalties. Ryles is the same. Gallen, Bird, Tupou and Ryles are known to give atleast 1 - 2 penalties away a game. Hopefully thats something Sticky can put an end to.

The fact that Zappia and Sticky aren't oblivious to the fact Noddy and Ross are more harm to us than good is what turns me on the most. I reckon it won't be long till we see Seymour and Bird in the halves. We still need a quality centre for '09 in my opinion

I would do ryles for losing ross and kimmorley. Ryles has been playing well besides his dumb ass acts. Under stuart I doubt he would continue that.

Plus ryles, gallen, bird, tupou... best off loading pack in the comp and we would have a new 7. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Sharks are looking good i must admit. Ryles has been the best Forward for the Saints since Bailey left but he never gets much praise or attention these days.

Trust me, Sticky knows what he's doing. Kimmorley isn't needed anymore and Ross just isn't the same since he joined Sharks.

Ross has hardly played. He is overpaid but I still think he is a good front rower. It was very disappointing that he got suspended for so long as I expected that he would have really stamped his authority by now.

ross was buggered up by the injuruy. he could have been great for us...and was in the first 6 or what ever games of 2006.

however since then he has got the mumps and been suspended twice. it hasnt been all that good for him.

Rumour unfounded according to Sharks.

To sum it up, would we have Ryles if offered, perhaps. But Stains offered him to us we haven't gone looking and we haven't said yes.

Can Zappia guarantee Noddy will be there at the end of the year? No. Why? Because you can't guarantee anything. I can't guarantee I won't be married to Scarlett Johannson by the end of the year, it doesn't mean it'll happen.

Are we shopping Ross? Yes. But that's obvious. We're shopping him so we can afford someone else.

General consensus is Ryles wouldn't be first choice, but rather have him than the gnome.
Rather have Hopate 4 years into retirement than the gnome.

I'm am no fan at all of Ryles.
He's been playing like a cat for a good few years now - but can't get a true reading on anybody at that club.

No player has been inspired or playing with any commitment to the club colours since Brownie rode in.

One thing for real - Ryles won't stop us winning a title, while any team with the anchor at 7 is wasting their supporters time.

News tonight is this is a done deal.

FFS, why??

I guess Sticky obviously sees something in him and he's alot cheaper than Ross. I guess you have to consider he's been playing under Brown for years now (and we know what calibre of coach Brown is) so maybe when he hits the Shire, Sticky may turn him around.

Can that, Sticky will have to turn him around!!.

My missus tells me that on the news just before I got home, they were saying we might be sending Noddy to Hull, and getting Trent Barrett.

It's building.
We are gearing to give this comp a helluva shake this year.

Trent Barrett? Ryles? Colin Best? John Bilbega?
Who bloody cares...
Cannot wait to see our club run out gnome-free.
