Faarrkk... Struggling with the concept of Reynolds in a sharks jumper. Is it Chad or his manager setting the huge price tag.... While I can see Bird attracting big offers elsewhere I'm not so sure about Chad.

Remember Ennis was a merkin before he came here, then reformed.

But Reynolds is definitely a bigger one. Does have an x factor, not sure about consistency.

He might be competitive and a real tryer, but he just ain't that good.
Brain snaps aside, his kicking game and direction for a half are ordinary.

Read an article saying he wants 800k. He is joking right??

Renno! Love him. Would be shame to lose our current guys but if we do I cant think of a better fit. Will be a good old head to help Wado steer the likes of Walker Williams Brailey Johliffe Kennedy et al.

Knights are dumb.

They have got themselves into the position they're in by over paying players.

By signing the likes of Ponga & Bird to over-the-top contracts, they will leave themselves short in other areas.

Can't deny bird that $ if he decides to take it.

I thought the knights were dead broke?
Wasn't there a story not too long ago that they were close to shutting up shop?

If thats the case, Where is this money coming from?

Nrl covers the cap with grants I think.

The same way the Goons offered Ben Hunt 1.2 per season. Neither club has two pennies to rub together but the Nrl grants are going to cover about 130% of the salary cap next year. Problem is these desperate clubs are inflating the player market prices with deals such as Pongia...Hunt and offers for Bird and others.

The knights are going to be linked to every off contract player.
When mooney was with us, were we linked to every player.

Ponga and bird would take up $2 million of the cap. Even if it goes up to say $8million. That doesn't leave much for the other 23 players in the top squad. About $250k each.
That's a lot of ordinary footballers. If it's me, I stay with an established squad who can challenge each and every week. More exposure, more rep footy, more wins.
