Why would Jack Bird seriously sign a 1 year deal if he intended on staying at sharks long term??? He'll either announce a year deal, or 1 year deal and likely back to dragons once Benji finishes.

If he kills it in the next two years, every other club will be after him too. He is waiting for 2018 when the salary cap goes up and by then the dogs or roosters might be involved. Its not a given him ever coming back and the longer away the more he will forget about the love he had with our club. UNTIL Bird signs with the sharks then i still have hope.

Understand what your saying but if his "Love for our club" is a deciding factor, surely he would have come back by now?
