I love Warney and I couldn't care less what he does off the field. Same with Greg Bird. Bird did stuff up on the field, no doubt, but if you want to go for character assassination, atleast try to be consistent. :roll:

Little difference between this incident and Birds stupidity.

Having said that you can be assured that the judiciary will be out to make an example of him and give it to him both barrels.

Bird deserves a couple of weeks for stupidity and a couple more for being gutless but nothing like 12 weeks.

Hopefully a bit of soul searching will be good for the kid and turn his his potential into delivering on the field.

Morley is cheap shot merchant. Bird just had a brain explosion and i'm sure it won't happen again.

Also don't forget,it was Bird who was on the end of a pretty nasty cheap shot in Round 3 from Cleal,yet no one slammed Cleal and said he was a cheap shot merchant. Cleal was also allowed to line up against the Warriors and still no one said anything.

No it hasn't mate. He has continually bagged him for his off field attitude, going to Carmens and smug approach etc. Yet it's OK in SS's eyes for others to do just that. e.g. Shane Warne. It's a double standard, simple as that. I couldn't be bothered finding quotes for it but the guy is a hypocrite, plain and simple.

As for Bird going to Carmen's after the game. Who cares? What was he supposed to do, go sit in a church and repent his sin all night? He did what I would have done, got pissed.

I still think Greg Bird will return to first grade after his suspension and continue to impress me. This won't end his career. I accept that I was very vocal in my support for Greg Bird prior to this incident. He let me down big time with that terrible cowardly actm but it doesn't mean I will give up on him. I can't save face and I don't give a fug about saving face anyway. I couldn't care less about the perceived images people have on here.
