I saw that and read it as strategy on Potter's part - the more he talks up Blair, and if Eels are keen, the less of his salary Tigers will have to subsidise if he does go.

He isnt worth the cost of the fabric in Aaron Woods' undies let alone part of the fabric of this club. He is everything you dont want a young aspiring backrower to be.

This is scary stuff to read.

He didnt mention Farah as part of the fabric.... This guy IS the player this club revolves around.

FMD Potter is the type of bloke that doesn't think in terms of what could be next year. In his mind, he's got Blair for the rest of the year and with our current injuries we actually need him.

If Blair gets released then hopefully we can back this up with a solid signing with the salary cap space we get from Blair

I think he is a little better than that,

At prop I think he goes alright. He isn't as good as Woods by a long margin but he is alright. We can't resign him its as simple as that but he would be a good value pick up for a lot of clubs at the right price.

Completely disagree he would get respect from the players immediately Blair is a myth. How would Woods feel, paid half the contract and Blair is their best forward, part of the fabric.
Its blatantly obvious Potter playing poker with Stuart or he needs to leave himself completely out of retention/recruitment.

I can accept Pettybourne missing that. He had just run straight through Blair and Pettybourne came across in cover to try and come up with a try saver. You may as well blame Meaney as blame Pettybourne.
