To the topic at hand - why is Austin on the bench for Rd-1? Has his form suffered in trial matches? Offseason surgery?

Yeah he had a shoulder op, and to this point hasn't played any serious footy this off season. I think he only started participating in the contact drills 3-4 weeks ago

I'm pretty sure Baptiste is going to play this week as 18th man. Austin will either play, and start with Williams dropping out, or they'll decide to rest Austin for the week to make sure he's 100% good to go

Skimming the pages of this thread elicits almost an audible chuckle. It's funny watching Bobby's posts flip flop as Milford's form went up:

* Milford struggling early - "Milford is shit!"
* Milford improving - "He'll never be as good as Austin"
* Milford lighting it up - "Moses is shit, who's Milford?"
* Broncos in the GF - {insert chirping crickets noise}
* Broncos lose the GF - "It was Milford's fault! He's shit"

The LOLs will surely continue this season. Looking forward to it.

I dont think anyone said it was Milford's fault they lost the GF, he was the likely CCM if they won. We all know who's fault that GF loss was:

1. Wayne Bennett for shutting up shop with 30 f**king minutes to play clinging to a 4 point lead.
2. Ben Hunt because he cant catch

Milford's form really surprised me last year. I was one of many who thought he was overrated and would struggle up there in his first year. Could be a massive season for him coming up

Yeah how quickly he adjusted as a half surprised me
I figured it would take him 24 months to get to this point, and i thought another year at fullback would help that, but it was always a matter of when, not if he was a quality 5/8th.
