I think you are right Brother Jim and where we lack the depth is in the key positions. Who can step up to the 7, 6 or 1 at a high level?

AS much as I liked Austen, I think its probably the right move. Brooks and Moses have been identified as our future and being paid a lot of money so they are always going to be first picked in the 7 and 6 role. We also have Martin and Moltzen as back up if and when injuries hit.

The only thing is we need at least one quality signing in either the backrow or the outside backs. Our current roster will need heaps of luck on the injury front to get anywhere near the eight

Gavet is potentially a big loss but I think he had to go. Austin and Koro are huge losses because they offered us heaps. Fulton had to go and I think we can handle his loss.

Maybe we need these changes but I'm struggling to think why you would let Austin and Koro go.

I guess it comes down to Austin and Moltzen both being under contract and both being able to cover the same positions. No point keeping both.

No doubt when we get raped by injuries again it will be an excuse for the team. The reason we get hurt so badly is because we let quality depth players like Austin go.

Ahearn went backwards this year. If he doesn't pick up dramatically next year I wouldn't be surprised if we cut him.

Blake deserves to be playing first grade,since Brooks and Moses are looking like our first choice i can understand him moving on,he was one of our few players to hold his head up this season when the wheels fell off.
