According to SSN, the club can confirm that he's left the camp.

But he did request before that he wanted to return to Brazil for his birthday (on the 25th).

It hasn't been confirmed that that's where he is going, or whether he has permission.

FMD.

I take that as saying he doesnt have permission?

If he did, surely the club would just say so and kill the story?

You'd think so. I'll post as soon as I know.

Enjoy the ITK updates (which are more reliable than Twizzle's COYS insiders), you've only got 11 more days of them.

Everyone expected Manchester City to announce the world-record capture of Kaka last night, but instead they were left with only Craig Bellamy...

Sums it up perfectly. Billions of dollars with only Craig Bellamy to show for it.

Latest from CEO Garry Cook is:

  • He said that AC Milan had "bottled it".
  • We thought the commericals had been agreed with Milan, but yesterday it appeared they weren't (sounds like they wanted more money)
  • We never even talked to Kaka.
  • We had talked to his father who indicated Kaka was very interested.
  • We wanted him as some kind of ambassador for environmental issues (yeah what the f**k?)
  • He blames AC Milan for breaking the agreement on a press blackout.

Kaka confirmed he never spoke to Citeh.

His father on the other hand spoke to anyone who would listen, but Ricky was never interested despite the bullsh*t his old man said.

Okay firstly, Benjani is a massive pile of wank, Elano has been hot and cold, and Richards had his first decent game this year. You also left Ireland off that list, who is an amazing player.

We have been sh*t this year because the midfield has been too lightweight and unwilling to get stuck in, the central defence pairing of Richards and Dunne has been disastrous, and Hughes for the most part has got the tactics all wrong. Saturday's match was the first one that seemed to have the right balance with Zabaleta and Kompany in defensive midfield.

And no, Hughes won't get the sack if there are no trophies by the end of next season. Do you know how hard it is to win one? The main goal will be consistent Euro qualification (top 6-7) with a view to push into the Champs League.

I like Benjani a lot (and still do), he was great at Pompey

And yeah I know its hard to win a trophy (I'm an Arsenal fan don't you forget), but now as City have mega-rich owners, wouldn't they expect the best like all mega-rich people do?

and you know whats funnier?

Hammers paid 7 for Bellamy.

he has scored 7 league goals and they've sold him for 14.

each goal, has added one million to his price tag

Robinho could be punished by Manchester City after leaving the club's training camp in Tenerife without permission.
City have given no official reason for the Brazilian's departure and are refusing to comment on speculation that he has returned to South America.
But executive chairman Garry Cook told the BBC: "I do know Robinho is not at the training centre in Tenerife.
"If he has left the training ground it is a breach of club discipline. I am waiting for a full debrief."

City’s bid for Kaka was demented.

They need to fix their defense and should use their limitless funds to build up a strong and cohesive team all round. Then you go out and buy someone like Kaka as the jewel in the crown.

Not really. For the next lot of signings, there was the lure of playing at a massive club with both Robinho and Kaka.

Well he is going to Brazil. At least we can call off the search party. ;-)

According to Robinho there's no rift between him and the club.

According to sources close to Robinho, he's very happy at Manchester City. He believes in the club´s project, on its promises and proposals and has no intention of leaving his new home. There has been a lack of communication somewhere, but nothing has changed.

Since last week Robinho had asked for the club´s permission to travel, in order to solve some family problems. Therefore, after training at Tenerife on Monday he left for Brazil, with his wife and baby and will be back in a short few days.

He will for sure be playing on Wednesday against Newcastle and, as usual, will give his all to help the club to achieve victory. He is very motivated and says he wants to be the league´s top scorer. Therefore, while in Brazil with the family, he will be excersing and keeping fit for the upcoming match.

Robinho was cheering for Kaka and hopes that the club will soon find a replacement as high level as Kaka is.

Garry Cook;

"If we don't get Kaka it is not the end of the world, we got Craig Bellamy."

Okay, so was finally able to get to the bottom of the Robinho saga.

Robinho apparently asked Sheik al Rich Bloke for the weekend off, because it was his birthday (as I said). The Sheik said go for it. Hughes, however, told Robinho no.

So Robbie's understandably gone... "Mmm... well I'm off anyway".
