Then it's simple Twiz.

Don't sign.

All this poor Kaka stuff is, IMO, just bollocks.

He will be earning more than the GDP of some small third world countries.

Dont want to go? Dont sign.

Dont want the money? Then do some charitable deeds.

In a world environment where more and more people are losing their jobs and homes, you'll excuse me if I dont feel one iota of sympathy for a football player who will be earning as much money as Kaka.

not that simple, Berlusconi owns him

he has said he will go if they wish to sell him but he doesn't want to go

he's a devout christian, the money means nothing to him

No, sorry Twiz, at the end of the day, it is that simple.

Transfers fall over every transfer window because players dont want to go to a proposed club, often pulling out the old chestnust 'couldnt agree on personal terms'.

This transfer is different because of the hype surrounding the dollars, which are obscene for any player.

But, at the end of the day, Kaka does hold some power, two agreements need to be reached, one between City and Milan, and one between City and Kaka.

I can see, because of the money how Kaka may feel some pressure, but FMD, feel sorry for him? No way. It's the life he chose as a professional footballer. He cant be forced to sign with City if he doesnt want to - and he'd be a Milanese hero even more.....

PS. I saw him play and he was sh*t

Kaka would have put it to bed a week ago if he wouldn't leave Milan under any circumstances.

Fact is Garry Cook (CEO) is back in Italy as we speak ironing out the final points. Big 24 hours this.

the problem is his agent (Bosco) and his dad want him to take the money so they can all get their greasy mits on it

his dad actually flew from Brazil to talk to ManC and word is his dad had been shopping him around for years

Kaka is already on 9mill a year at Milan and in the last 24 hrs his dad and his agent have been using this to get more money out of milan, as its obvious he doesn't want to go

only an hout ago he was seen on the balcony of his unit in Milan waving his Milan shirt at the thousands of people outside his unit

its obvious where he wants to be

wouldn't surprise me if this doesn't happen now

Kaka to stay at Milan!
Monday 19 January, 2009

In a sensational twist, Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi has announced that Kaka will be staying with the Rossoneri!

Talks have been taking place all day between Manchester City directors, Kaka's father and Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani.

It had appeared that a resolution had been found as reports stated that Milan had accepted City's £107m bid.

A statement confirming Kaka's departure was expected within the next 24 hours, but Berlusconi has made an amazing declaration.

“You can't force anyone to stay at a club against their will,” he said live on TV.

“A player who is getting paid half his potential earnings elsewhere runs the risk of becoming unhappy.

“Nevertheless, I will make an announcement - Kaka will stay at Milan because he prefers the Rossoneri and puts love above money.

“The negotiations were closed by myself and Kaka in person. All the remains to be said is long live Kaka!”

The latest is that everything is agreed in principle. The contract is done.

The delay over the last day or so has pretty much been the way AC Milan have been going about it... they want to reveal it in their own time, which is understandable. There would be a riot at the San Siro tomorrow if they said "Oh by the way, Kaka's leaving".

Everything should be officially announced Monday GMT.

How is that looking now?

Yep, here we go, from the OS:

http://www.mcfc.co.uk/default.sps?pageid=115&pagegid={DBD12D53-8346-431D-A04F-5D0F8664DE80}&newsid=6625476&siteid=&pageno=&newscategory=&frommonth=11&fromyear=2008&tomonth=1&toyear=2009

Manchester City has terminated its discussions with AC Milan over the possible transfer of the player Kaka.

Following a meeting in Milan today, the Club felt that it was unlikely that the two parties could reach common ground for an agreement.

The discussions reached only a preliminary stage and the player was not involved at any time. No commercial terms were framed.

Commenting on the situation, Garry Cook stated: "Whilst Manchester City Football Club has an obvious interest in world class players of the quality of Kaka, we owe it to our fans that such a transfer must work on every level; commercially, financially, in terms of results on the field and within Manchester City's broader community."

Don't believe a word of it to be honest.

haha

I did, but yours is better

I am now reading that ManC pulled out, as well as Berlu saying he decided not to sell after it was obvious Kaka didn't want to go

From what Berlu is saying ManC have never actually spoken to Kaka, only Berlu and his agent, who were going along with it but couldn't talk Kaka into leaving

I'm sure we'll get a heap of different versions all claiming to be accurate

at least all the ManC troll can now leave the R&B forums and go raid some where else

very powerful man

it would have cost him more than 110mill in damages I reckon

I'm just glad its over

but....but....you're a 'big' club.....
Massive club actually. But hey, we got closer than Real and Chelsea ever did.

City are saying they broke it off, Berlusconi reckons he broke it off.
The truth must lie somewhere in the middle. What does that mean? It was the lad himself.

Understandably gutted, but we still have 12 days to keep the quality rolling in.

i was enjoying the thought of seeing kaka playing in the EPL.

im not City supporter but i do hope they can manage to sign a few big names and create a team capable of challenging the big 4.
