Tamou is the only player in Origin 1 not born in Australia as far as I can tell and his family moved to Australia when he was 12 or 13. NZ have never had a problem selecting Australian born and bred players like Pritchard, Fien and Goodwin (whose father actually played for NSW and Australia) though
Also if you are going to use the argument of where they grew up and learnt the game, Foran and Nightingale should be playing for Australia seeing as though they spent the vast majority of their youth in Australia. Or is that an argument used only for you to justify NZ selecting Pacific Islanders
Maybe not this series but papalii chunt teo Carroll thorn etc over the years (geez guess which state is common denominator there) have taken advantage of the bigger pay packet influencing their allegiance
