They dropped the guy who's dominated at origin before (Fifita) and kept the 2 duds (Cordner and Jackson)

Fifita looks fat and slow this season, deserves to be dropped...although why is Boyd Plodner still there, surely Tariq Sims or someone with impact is better!

Watch some sharks games, he's been dominating at club level and he's shown in the past that his club form does transfer over to SOO.

Cordner is a mystery, Frizzell and Sims are 10x the impact player he is.

The person I live with goes for the Sharks...I watch most games. He is overweight, and it shows. Frizzell and Sims are better bench options.

LOL at Hopoate getting a gig again

Myth Pearce at 6

Plodkinson

This is like a contest of 'who is the biggest Wazn"

He is clearly in the side for his superior goal kicking. He is nearly kicking an incredible 65%.

Sharp shooter!

One of the biggest indicators for mine that he is completely shot for confidence and possibly carrying and injury. Career 80percent goal kickers usually don't see such a drop in their percentage for no reason.

We must have a different definition of what's good. Fifita for me has been really good this year.

Hoppa is there to counter Inglis.

Pearce, yeah lol.

Hodkinson has been pretty bad too lol.

I don't think Fifita has been bad, he is just overweight. Needs to shed 3-5 kilos. He will be back, he is a very talented prop. Dropping him was the correct call at this time though.

Say what! Josh Morris is there for Inglis. What does a winger have to do with a centre. Alex Johnson deserves an opportunity.

Pearce and his 3/13...well lets just say he aint improving it

Plodkinson has to be the worst form half in the comp...now why are you picking him! I hate Myth but surely a Pearce/Austin combination is at least decent.

He does look overweight and if we dropped him for someone decent I can understand, but dropping him and keeping someone like Cordner or Jackson I don't.

A winger usually has to make several tackles on the opposing center, Johnston would struggle with his small frame to do that. Also Hoppa reads the game very well and no doubt Thurston will be trying to isolate the winger on that side.

Neither Hokko or Piss should be in the side. It should have been Austin and Adam Reynolds.

Don't think they are competing for the same spot. Gallen is picked as a prop. Cordner is terrible, but I feel you are harsh on Jackson. I thought he was okay game 1, worked hard, and did run good lines, just that the halves can't pass!

You know they said the same thing about Thurston and his 'small frame'...and Darius Boyd isn't the world's man mountain himself. Johnson is a better finisher and you need those players. How do you know Johnson won't be good? Being small isn't a reason. Some of the best Origin players have been smallish.

Adam Reynolds should get the halfback spot next season, with one of Jack Bird/Blake Austin/Luke Keary/etc.

Daley has simply backed the game 1 team and made replacements that would have been the same if fit for game 1.

Jackson is obviously the utility long term and cordner the wide channel substitution, it's up to merrin to deliver more

Bench lacks a bit of punch besides klemmer but the real issue is the halves. I think if we lose there will be a lot of players marked never to play origin again.

Cordner and Jackson have been selected as impact players, neither can make 1/10th of the impact Fifita can.

Thurston is a half, the thing is you don't get halves who are big unlike wingers. It's not Darius Boyd who's the issue. it's Inglis, Hoppa is about 100 kgs and has the necessary size and power to shut him down. Like I said before Thurston would target Johnston and Johnston doesn't read the game as good as Hoppa. That's why he gets the nod over him.

If Adam Reynolds is selected then Bird can't be the other half. Both are right side players...

You want an impact player, pick Tariq Sims or Frizzell. You don't need Fifita to eat the whole buffet. He is so overweight and it is a shame, but maybe this might teach him to be disciplined off the field as well as on.

This playing big wingers has worked so well in the last 8 years. How about you pick the best winger? Did you not see how pathetic Hopoate was both in the last Origin and also for Parramatta last night...his so called great defence was awful! How about you pick a side to score points, if that means Inglis scores 1 so be it. I'd back Johnson to make the most of 2-3 half opportunities compared to Hopoate.

Reynolds and Jack Bird can work together, whether it is next year I'm not sure. Either way a running number 6 is what NSW need from next season.
