If the Blues are as bad as what the QLD media say we are why did Queensland only win game 1 by just 1 point and why are they fighting to win the shield back?

You should just ignore what both the Daily and Courier say around Origin time, they just need to play to the fans and public instead of making any informative stories.

QLD were abysmal game 1...or should I say Inglis was horrific. It is a laughable joke that QLD could be that bad, botching tries left right and centre...and yet still Myth Pearce out rubbishes them! :lol:

Roberts is exciting to watch but he may be overwhelmed at origin level. He was destroyed by Jarrod Croker in city vs country. Hate to see what Inglis would do to him. Also I'm unsure of his ability to take bombs on the wing.

Yeah I'd hate to have centre that is fast and can set up a winger. A winger outside Jennings might as well be on the couch! He can't pass!

The aim is to score more points, this rubbish of 'but he must sop Hodges, Inglis" is complete tripe. What will get QLD more nervous is players who can score points. By all means pick halves that can't create, backorders who are just solid but at the end of the day, that won't get 22-26 points. That is what would worry QLD, not the defence.

That's 1 bad game. Hoppa has had more shit games than that this season. How was he against the roosters? Every other game Roberts has played this year has been great. How was Hoppa metres last origin game? All I remember him doing is getting tackled by markers.

Since Hoppa came back from from palying knock and run has he had a game as good as Roberts did yesterday?

Yet you leave out Sims, Frizzell, etc. You need a balance between 'metre forwards' and impact. QLD won the forwards in game 1 anyway.

i didn't mentioned defence, but as you brought it up his D is still suspect and given the above points the reason why he's not yet worth the risk.

Roberts is averaging 11 tackles made per game and missing 1.1. Hoppa is averaging 6.5 tackles made per game and missing 1.7 so Roberts is a better defender than Hoppa is confirmed.

He is barely being considered at all which is the f**king problem. Roberts can play on the wing if Hoppa can. Roberts is defending better in a tougher spot then Hoppa is and we all know Roberts adds a lot more offensively. Hoppa is only a winger because he was too shit to hold his FB and then centre spot at parra this season, lets not act like he is a specialist.

I'd hate to have a center who was dominated against Jarrod Croker up against Inglis or Hodges. Also Roberts plays on the right side! You'd want him to replace Jennings on the left where he doesn't even play? Or would you want Morris moved over to the left and have him at right center to be taken apart by Inglis?

1 big game? f**k off. Did you even watch game 1? Hoppa dummy half runs were metre or two at best. Roberts can contribute when there is an arm wrestle by breaking the game open and running 90 to score. You are just talking shit again like that defence argument which was just blown out of the water.
