well they are certainly Bold and Fearless.....a tad negative, but Bold and Fearless

None were serious though, tbh trying to make any predictions about the Eels is like guessing the lotto numbers........i'll give them one thing, they ALWAYS surprise us :D

I would just like us to put in for each other during each game, as last season i didn't feel like there was any effort, apart from a very small percentage of games......

Winning 75% of home games would help too!

kinda figured you weren't too serious with those lol, but i agree, put in each game and 75% of home games will always help

I think the Wise Old Eel is pretty close to the mark.

Not sure how a team up to $500K under the cap can be competitive in the NRL?

My only prediction of note is Casey McGuire will play more games than not.
Surely it means we'll at least beat Cronulla. It'd be a level playing field in terms of the cap... if they sign Thurston

* more internal dramas to surface by round 1. (well duh!)
* Brad Murray to have a solid first season in fg.
* Reni Maitua once on the field will be our player of the year.
* Chris Walker to be our leading try scorer.
* we will not make the top 8
* the club will make about 4 major signings for 2012, 1 will be a halfback.

1. Otherwise normal people who post on these forums will have disagreements during the season that will degenerate into name-calling spats.
2. The afore-mentioned spats will revolve around the names "Mortimer", "Burt" and "Robson".
3. Sefton Boy will re-surface to again criticise Luke Burt. Sarah K and others, probably me as well, will defend Burt.
4. There will be an alcohol related sex scandal affecting the NRL. A he-said, she-said spat will follow.
5. Poor Reni Matua will have to put up with undue intrusions into his privacy.
6. Hindy will say something at some point about something or the other that will make us all proud to be Parramatta fans.
7. Jarryd Hayne will single-handedly win a game for the Eels prompting instant jubilation, but which will then be followed by a week of people wondering whether we are a one-man band.
8. Chris Walker, Casey Maguire etc will put in a few useful performances during the season.
9. Our forward pack will be strong.
10. Our halves situation will be nit-picked to death.
11. More nuffies will start threads about rumoured signings that turn out to be nothing.
12. Tahu will face some unfair scrutiny. Cut the bloke some slack, he's had a rough year.
13. There will be more board ructions.
14. Parra will make the top 8 but get knocked out in the pre-lim final by the Dragons.
15. Kearney will have a dream run till the Eels start losing for a bit. At which point Max3g will rock up and demand that we reinstate DA.

addition to my original......Robson to gain some new friends.....especially now he can focus on a legitimate chance to 'keep' his No: 7 jumper

* We will not make the 8
* Kearney will have the full support of the board by election time after we haven't won a game
* Hindy will retire at the end of the year
* Hayne will break contract and go play Union in France
* We will win only 2 games at home all season
* Sharks will beat us in all the games we play them
* Tahu will win Dally M Centre of the year
* Mortimer and Robson will finish the year in State Cup
* Ossie won't last the year
* We will sign no one of importance for 2012

A few good predictions there Kornstar.
Especially the one about winning 2 games at home, and PO not lasting the year. Well done.

If Chris Sandow can get under Gerrards(Hayne) skin and fire him up god help the opposition.
My bold prediction for Dally M (Hayne that is)

Let's continue this thread on as the 2012 bold prediction thread?

Phil Hughes to get out in the first couple of overs, and Pointing to be trapped LBW for not many...but these are not not necessarily BOWLED predictions are they...

WOE deserves several gold stars for some spot on predictions, Stagger a couple too. The rest of us did pretty horribly. Some of Colonel's couldn't have gone more wrong.

Sandow to play at least 1 Origin game after Cronk doesnt cut it for QLD & he's killing it for Parra
Ben Smith won't play too much first grade at all

Bold and fearless?
Minor-premiers, premiers, best attacking team, average defensive team, monopolistic possession counts, a Dally M Medal for Luke Burt, a Golden Boot for Jarryd Hayne, Chris Sandow to be the State of Origin Player of the Series and Man of the Match in Game 3, decent edge defence, Willie Tonga to be the leading NRL try-scorer, Sandow to be the top NRL points-scorer, Mitchell Allgood earning international honors alongside Mannah, and us signing Will Chambers.

I think you forgot Spags to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

There is one reason why I don't generally predict these things. So many variables that it is impossible to come up with anything close. What I will say is that I hope next year Sandow and Roberts step up in a massive way or it's going to be a long year.
