I f&*(ed up.

Been telling the missus how great this show is, so she finally starts watching it, agrees, and now I have to wait till she catches up.

There is always divorce I suppose

Well anyway, great ploy by Hank to outsmart the 'genius'.

All we know is that Walt escapes free from this, although the machine gun he acquired in the first episode this season signals he'll be getting revenge on his white power buddies.

The problem is that it wasn't unlikely that Walt would call in help as soon as he realised he'd been tricked.

They really needed to get him ASAP

Also he hank has been pulled under by the white whale. He should have done it by the book but he had to do it and its gonna (probably) cost him his life

Well up until last episode Walt was adamant Jesse was off-limits. They might have thought Walt would call in help but not in the form of a bunch of white supremacist mass murderers willing to kill cops.

Not to mention they probably thought supergenius Walt wasn't dumb enough to trust white supremacists.

The whole series has revolved around Walt crossing these moral lines he swore to never cross.

This is just the final escalation. Jesse and Hank were always strictly off limits. It's fairly clear that Walt will have nothing left when the show ends.

Like I said I've certainly got a Moby dick/ captain Ahab thing from hank as soon as he went after Walt without involving the dea.

Except his revenge on Uncle Jack with his bitchin' machine gun (here's hoping)

I'm still waiting for Jesse to find out exactly what happened to Jane. You know it's coming, possibly in the final showdown.

Tis interesting when we consider Percy Shelleys poem ozymandias (the title of next weeks episode) its literally about the fall of empires (be it Walt's or perhaps Hanks fall because of hubris) but there is a certain irony at play here because Egyptian history was in fashion in shellys time.

So whilst Ramesses literally dies like all men do his name does live on. Ironically in poems about the fall of his empire. Considering the tag line remember my name its all very interesting.

I just bought a new car.

I will hand the keys to any person who can get me an advanced copy of next weeks episode.

I've been thinking about that and I wonder if that will even happen. As a consequence of the circumstances in which it happened there is no way Jesse could ever find out about it unless Walt tells him, as Walt is the only person alive who knows what really happened. Aside from a petty tool to hurt Jesse for siding with Hank I don't see how this topic will come up. I'll be disappointed if he never finds out though, I've been waiting for that discovery/reaction from the moment that ep first aired.

Everyone in this show is a merkin to some degree, some more than others. That being said I am pulling for Walt! With all the twists and turns in this show so far I can see the ending being a WTF moment, where Walt goes out on top.

Jesse seems way to paranoid for his own good. Did anyone else have the feeling that when hank was briefing jesse about wearing a wire to the meeting with Walt, he was going to turn jesse back onto Walt's side by saying he's the only one who cares about you, he saved your life paid for rehab etc. Can see a flashback happening showing jesse over hearing the part where hank says hes a junkie murderer and doesnt care if walt kills him at the meet. Could be an important scene in reuniting Walt and jesse. I don't know so many twists and turns that's just the feeling I get.

Just my opinion but I think what you say here has absolutely zero chance of occurring. That's just not a direction the show would take, its not what the show has been about. That said, it will be interesting to see what happens if Andrea ever mentions to him that he never returned her call. Could put Hank on the same level as Gus and Walt in terms of using a child/innocent woman as a means to an end. Hank knows what Walt is capable of, what if something happened to them in ignoring it? Apparently that wasn't too concerning.

I don't personally think Hank is going to die. The public finds out that Walt is hisenberg (hence the ceased house and graffiti) and if everyone at the shoot out dies then who would be dropping that bomb?

Still pretty much everything I've thought would happen in those shoe ends of working out the opposite so they are all undoubtedly doomed

Hank dies for sure. It's way too much of an anti-climax for it to end any other way.

Marie knows everything, so all the flash forward scenes can still happen without Hank. To be honest, ordering the death of your brother in law would explain the genuine fear his neighbour had in the seasons opening scene.

The only guaranteed survivor is Walt. It wouldn't surprise me if everyone dies other than some of Todd's guys and Walt, the fallout from it being that Skylar turns informant due to the shock of Walt killing Hank, Walt is on the run and trying to take out Todd's guys for no other reason to tie up some loose ends and save his family.

Crazy, crazy episode. One of the best the show has seen for sure.

Is it possible Hank recorded Walt's phone conversation with Jesse? Walt confessed to 3 or 4 murders in that one.

I'd say at least one of Hank, Jesse or Gomez survives, most likely Jesse, and they now know where Walt's money is.

I was actually HIGHLY surprised that they weren't just recording the call and then using it to arrest Walt later. Seemed a stupid play to follow him out into the desert to make the arrest.

Thats true. Hadn't thought about someone else being in possession of the tapes of Jesse and the phone call.

It really was an unbelievable episode... the only issue I had was the gunfight. I mean FFS 5 dudes with machine guns and 2 highly trained agents with a pistol and shotgun just unloading on each other from no more than 15m and not a single person gets bloody hit? Should have been over in about 8 seconds. Having them all firing randomly for a solid 45 seconds just seemed like a cliffhanger for cliffhanger's sake.
