Like who gives a flying f**k it has nothing to do with what he does on the field.

Tell that to the media. There are those out there trying to destroy league and this just gives them ammunition. It's bad for the codes image and its just lucky he didn't crash or worse kill some poor bastard.

12 NRL games maybe. Obviously the reporter has never heard of the Qld Cup. I suppose what do you expect from ignorant Sydney blokes

And you don't know that he didn't play 12 first grade games you ignorant Tweed twat.

Get over your tall poppy syndrome or you'll soon be paranoid about Lismore and Ballina as well.

Maybe im wrong but coming from a Newcastle supporter would it be expected to get him a few baggies & deny there is an issue to be dealt with for over a decade?

You only have to look at his peers at "Blacktown Sur Mer" or Manly..
Watmough..a grub of the highest order and when drunk is particuarly classy in his dealings with women.
B Stewart..the face of the NRL, a classless drunk, currnetly indicted for sex offence against a minor.
Matai..another classy drunk who likes to abuse barmaids.
Williams is just another in a line of Manly vermin.

Comical. Funny to note that it always seems to be the fans of "loser" clubs that come out quickly to whinge & make slurs.

Manly winger tony Williams fined for drink driving charge

From staff writers
April 14, 2010 Manly will hit Tony Williams with a significant fine and order him to enrole in community services and a traffic offenders program in resonse the winger's drink driving charge.
Williams and his manager Issac Moses met with Manly CEO Graham Lowe and Football Manager Steve Gigg, following his failure to pass a random breath test in the early hours of Tuesday morning on the Cumberland Highway at Smithfield.

Lowe said the disciplinary committee of the club and the faith of his team mates had influenced the final decision, which is harsh but didn’t include a suspension.
"The issue is a serious one - a very serious one.
"Tony Williams is a footballer and playing Rugby League is his job. He will need to play plenty of games to pay for his upcoming fine which is yet to be decided but it will be more than significant,” Lowe said.

The Sea Eagles chose Williams on the wing to play Melbourne Storm on Monday night and he trained with the side today and will play.

Pillar of morality. Hope the NRL stand him down like they did to the young Roosters player last year

Piss poor "punishment" but lets face it you wouldn't expect much more from Manly. They're by far the softest club when it comes down to disciplining their players after they f**k up and this is yet another example. Graham Lowe talked a big game in his interview and i was actually quite impressed with what he said thinking the punishment will be dealt with accordingly but it was same old same old from Manly and took the soft option.

Manly refuse to stand down Williams

Manly have refused to suspend Tony Williams, instead opting to fine the giant winger as well as ordering him to undertake community service following his drink driving charge.
On Tuesday Williams was charged with mid-level drink driving after allegedly blowing more than twice the legal limit in a random breath test in Sydney's west.
Yet he has been cleared by the club to play in Monday night's clash against Melbourne.
The Sea Eagles have still to determine the amount of the fine, with chief executive Graham Lowe adamant the punishment was in line with the seriousness of the incident.
"The issue is a serious one, a very serious one," Lowe said in a statement.
