Bret Hart pins blame for CM Punk’s departure from WWE on Triple H

Really??

I know it's probably personal opinion... But to me... In the ring... Levesque isn't fit tie Brett's shoe laces.

On the Mic... Hmmm... Not so much.

But you could pair Brett up with anyone and the guy could make magic... You pair him up with another phenomenal worker like HBK and you get something absolutely top draw.

Some of his spots were just flawless... I still love that spot that he did with HBK and Taker at Summerslam. Where he spits in HBK's face... HBK swings it and he ducks it and he hits Taker. Very simple... But done absolutely perfect...and they capitalised on it with the slow count...

He struggled with charisma though... His best work IMO was as a heel....

Triple H wasn't as good technically, but his ring psychology was flawless imo.

Again - just because, imo, he's over-rated doesn't mean he's bad at all.

you call me a troll, yet which do you find a more ridiculous suggestion:

Bret Hart isn't overrated, and HHH has a very limited skill set

Or

Bret hart is massively over rated, & HHH is GOD

?

I think the essence of Harts problem with Levesque is something that a lot of people have a problem with.... Sleeping with the boss' daughter is one thing...

And perhaps it is too easy just to brush him off as Anna Nicole McMahon... As you guys have pointed out... He was already on his way before that relationship had started.

The problem stems before that... The scumbag douchey shit he did behind the scenes to other guys coming up.

Him and HBK seriously lobbying Vince to have the Dwayne Johnson jobbing for everyone. One of the funniest stories out there was Brett being told that he was supposed to squash The Rock in 2mins...

Brett told Johnson f**k them... And they went out and had a 20min hell raiser... And caused Levesque to get his promo cut...

Fair enough, mate. I suppose you're right.

Hart is not massively over-rated - that was a silly thing to say.

I take it back and I do apologise.

Still - I do wish he could stop bitching, because it's tarnishing his legacy.

Just out of curiosity - and I don't mean this is to troll -, but where do you guys rank Hart?

Because to me, I think HBK and Eddie Guerrero were the two best I ever saw in terms of being complete packages.

Bret Hart was very good in the ring, but had no charisma, and it hurt his overall appeal imo.

I'd probably say Hart for a match and Triple H in a feud, provided he wasn't booking the feud.

The big irony with Hart is his best work with the Mic is when he was moaning and whining...

There was that golden little period when he was this massive heel in the US... And then he would be a babyface at the PPV in Canada...

Do the same had to happen to Austin or whoever he was feuding with...

I would comfortably rate hhh a better wrestler than bret and would much rather see him in a match or feud.

I would also use the word overrated for bret because a lot of people rate him top 5 of all time or better and i have him nowhere near it so for me that is overrated.

I know i am in the minority but i have watched most of bret's matches multiple times and nothing has changed my mind thus far.

He came in with no respect for the business

Based on what?

He gets his initial push because of the influence behind the scenes from his druggy mates

To an extent but he had to earn their respect to begin with. It started because he happen to seperate himself from the pack when he was working on WCW Saturday Night and DDP (who was good friends with Hall & Nash) put Triple H over as a stand-up guy.

When you know there were more deserving guys being squashed on purpose by his crew.

Dean Douglas and...?

Even then, I wouldn't consider Shane more deserving and it wasn't like Hunter Hearst Helmsly was being protected (Wrestlemania 12 case in point).

& a shit human being by all reports

By some reports.

He's two faced but he's capable of being a class act as well.

Just out of curiosity - and I don't mean this is to troll -, but where do you guys rank Hart?

Upper echelon, top 20 at least.

He's a step above the No-Sell Kid, on par with Eddie.

I'd take Hart's 97 on the mic over anything Triple H has ever said.

Still, that doesn't excuse Bret from being delusional.

Based on Bret Hart's idealistic view of how the business should work... I'm not saying either is right or wrong.. Just pointing out where the bitterness comes from...

Or maybe they took to him because he supplied them with drugs through his bodybuilding contacts...

Err.... Dwayne Johnson??

Him and his pals did everything they could to keep the rock down... To the point where to this day the rock refuses to work with HBK.

Then Bret has no clue what he's talking about.

Or maybe they took to him because he supplied them with drugs through his bodybuilding contacts...

This is verging on 'The Monstreal Screwjob was a work' territory.

Him and his pals did everything they could to keep the rock down... To the point where to this day the rock refuses to work with HBK.

They didn't like each other, but all we know is that they wanted their biggest star (Bret) to go over him convincingly when Rocky had flopped.

This happens all the time, the difference is we only hear about it when wrestlers feel like giving themselves a pat on the back (eg Batista in 2014 in regards to Bryan).

I've enjoyed reading the HHH vs Bret debate in this thread.
Personally I prefer Bret, he's better technically and a better overall performer.
People talk about Bret being average on the mic but I find HHH to be as bad if not worse. I cannot remember 1 single memorable promo from HHH, just long winded over the top stuff that lacks genuine quality. Both guys were average in that department.
Both guys suffer aswell because they are often compared with HBK. HBK is so far ahead of both of them that a comparison is unfair.
I'd rank Bret in my top 20 of all time (just) and HHH would be outside.

But...he also sprays water and has a mini shower.

I think some of you guys are forgetting how big Bret Hart was back in the 90's. The dude sold everything. At no time has HHH achieved what Hart did, considering the legends that were present.

If Hart blames HHH for anything, you guys just need to accept it as truth!
