But he is a role model etc etc. Young blokes get sh!tfaced and piss in gardens, it is a part of life.

Exactly, apart from causing harm to a flower bed... how has he harmed anyone but himself?
He's contributing to harming the public image of the league. After the Manly sh*tstorm that hit us last week, the league got exactly what it needed with a fantastic opening round to the season. These two morons are giving it exactly what it doesn't need and dragging the code through the mud again.

If he was just drunk there is no problem, but if theres more to the story we need to take the hard stance and drop him till the investigation is over..

jesus stop press someone got blind and attacked a daisy bed then fell asleep, this will be back page stuff.
I reckon reading more into the person from the "public" taking photos is more a journo spy.Its been done before, Ive seen them hanging around waitiing for sh*t to happen outside some well known nightspots. I approached one and had a go at him...scumbags.

Manly supporters have every right to feel miffed, surely these further incidents are harmful to the games image and deserve a mandatory 4 weeks suspension?

Some players do need to be told when to stop. But you know thats not going to happen.
deserve a mandatory 4 weeks suspension?
Wont happen , half the comp would be on the sidelines.
Clubs need to hire out bodyguards or caretakers, the public are the problem in most cases. Im not saying Stewart or Bird are innocent but gee the media did them no favours.

If he peed on himself that's a bit shameful for league.
There needs to be harsher penalties for not handling your booze.

So why should a player be involved and not be reported/punished?
Havent there been too many incidents in the past week?

No not really, until one of our players also punches a sponsor in the same week we should be fine.
Thinking about the light sentence Watmough got Semyour should just get a fine from the club.

I saw 4 people in the inner west, pretty much in the same condition on Saturday night...lol!

And I blame the club...I think they should be the ones copping the fine...not the player. Really poor player management.

He will be fined.

Seymour is hardly the face of RL. Didn't star in the NRL's expensive advertising campaign and wasn't at a club function when he got pasted. Nor did he do a media report just hours before getting sh!t faced, saying players should be careful, they are being watched more than ever.

He didn't p!ss on anyone in a club and didn't get behind the wheel of a car. He didn't engage in a foursome in a toilet or tackle some unsuspecting shop owner.

If peeing himself and molesting a few daisies is a crime, most young blokes should be locked up.

Don't go on with all this crap about bringing the game down. This has nothing on whats going on in AFL. I am sure our RL fans south of the border would agree, the AFL has heaps of booze related problems, but NSW & QLD newspapers don't run with them like they do NRL. It just doesnt sell papers.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like what I am reading and yes, these blokes need some serious brain implants to get the message through their thick skulls. KNOW WHEN ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Ken Oath. That's right Stewart is inebriated gets refused service at the Wharf bar (from previous report so does every other Manly player based on the report of Delmege trying to put his card behind the bar). Gets refused entry to another club (which club - don't know no-one has given a definitive answer) - NO reports of him displaying any anti social behaviour - catches a taxi (THE MORON - SHOULD HAVE DROVE only a fine then) ...
That's Gallop's problem ... so very very fair

And the career of Cronulla halfback Brett Seymour is in doubt after allegations he urinated on himself outside a Cronulla nightclub and fell asleep in a garden bed on Sunday night.

You gotta be fu*cking kidding me!
His career is in doubt now for pissing on himself and sleeping in a garden bed. That is SO f*cking bad. How dare he piss on himself and sleep in a garden bed!! :sarcasm:

What absolute melodramatic bullcrap from the SMH! Shame on you!

I tell you what, my career would have been in doubt every single weekend in my 20's if this constitutes career ending activities.

FFS, this bullcrap from the media is pissing me off
