She's 21 years old FFS, she can defend herself, and if not he can be charged.

So if some drongo was insulting your adult daughter you'd just sit back and watch? How about if it was your mum, sister, gf, wife?

F**king geese, both the sponsor and Watmough.

Sorry Timmah, but I'd expect every father to step in for their daughter if they were getting unwanted attention from a bloke. The only goose is Watmough, but I figure we already know that anyway.

Police have charged Stewart with sexual assault – he was granted bail.

Stewart will appear at the Manly Local Court on 7 April.

"Shortly after 6pm, a 24-year-old North Manly man attended Dee Why police station and was arrested," police said in a statement.

No one seemed to be upset about Bird, it was all finger pointing and sniggering.

I reckon this is f**ked for the game and BS must go down for it like GB did.

If the NRL are fair dinkum, Manly should be forced to follow suit.

oh crap. this is awful.

If by that we mean awful for the recipient of the alleged sexual assault, then I agree.

No sympathy for men who end up in avoidable situations like this from me. Individual responsibility - means knowing your own limits with alcohol, and respecting other people's physical rights always.

Innocent until proven guilty of course - but is there honestly anyone out there that thinks he shouldn't be stood down until the court decides the case now?

Man charged with sexual assault — Dee Why
Tuesday, 10 Mar 2009 07:08pm

Police from the Northern Beaches Local Area Command have this evening charged a man with sexual assault after an investigation into an alleged incident last week.

Shortly after 6pm a 24-year-old North Manly man attended Dee Why police station and was arrested.

The man was spoken to by investigators regarding an alleged incident with a 17-year-old girl at a North Manly property during the evening of Friday, 6 March.

Police will allege that the man sexually assaulted the teenager.

The 24-year-old man was charged with sexual assault and granted bail.

He will appear at the Manly Local Court on 7 April.

Assistant Commissioner Denis Clifford has called for media restraint in relation to this matter.

“I strongly urge all media organisations to respect the privacy of the alleged victim and allow the process of justice to take its course,” he said.
