I remember clearly a press conference with Brian Smith as Eels coach, someone had made a supposedly funny comment about Foi Foi Moi Moi's name, he was very steadfast about it and was upset about ppl making fun of a a persons name from another nationality.

Not sure why he is a racist? There were always aboriginals in our side. I think as a coach you select players that will keep you in a job. As far as the chokers tag I think that wasn't the coach it was jealous fans from other clubs that jumped on that band wagon as we had a lot of success making Grand finals, 4 GF's in a decade, my view was at least we didn't choke in competition matches like their teams or they wouldve made the GF as well.

In Smiths defense 2 of the GF's I recall were against the Qld State of Origin team in '92-'93. It was a hard era. Smith also took the Rorters from Wooden Spoon to Grandfinalists! 2 minor premierships with the Eels and a GF as well. Outside of Bennett at the time was the most successful coach so you can't hang him on that. I'm not convinced he is our answer but he doesn't deserve crap when he was such a good coach for us and other clubs. Mostly I resent the chokers tag as its just crap as every year a team loses a GF and they dont get branded chokers. I still hear the same brainless d##kheads use the term even after we won a GF. Anyone can win or lose a GF on the day and it has zero to do with the week before lil alone the years previous

I hate to see supporters death riding Price and I can empathise with them of course as none of us are happy but what will you do when you randomly sign a coach to replace him on a 2 or 3yr deal and we lose 3 or 4 games from first the 6? Just sign a third coach? The answer is in the way we are playing the game and I'm sure they are aware of the ruck etc so it will get fixed. I'm confused as to why it hasn't been yet but unless Bellyache walks in the front door and says give me a job I'm not gonna have 2 coaches on the payroll and still be losing games especially when the fix is so simple. We have 16 days off to fix this and if it's not done I'll do some jumping up and down but I'm never going to hope we lose just so I can whinge about Price!!! Thats as bad as suggesting it was a blessing Farrell got injured when if you look now we are definately worse off without him anyway and simply put its not patriotic.
