Doust brought success so I would keep him. He is a good CEO and has a good track record this coaching thing is surely not only his decision. I am sure the whole board vote who they want. Getting rid of CEO's can backfire ask Parra. As soon as Fitzgerald left which everyone thought was rubbish at the time and a good move they went plummeting down and have had troubles since.

At the time Brian got the Saints to 2 GF's and with a squad nobody predicted to make the 8 so it was a big deal hence why he was carried off. He was briliant. Go back and watch highlights of those years and you will see. Making a GF is not easy. People are calling for Henry to be coach but how many GF's has he made?

Success also allows the club to pay fair market value to get players onboard instead of having to come in over the top of everyone else with an inflated offer, players would be keen to play here if the success is evident, whilst weve had it in the past i dont think we are topliners in too many peoples eyes at the moment ,lets hope it changes.

Do you blokes ever get sick of whining about Price and his alleged replacement? Brian Smith NO THANKS

I don't get sick and tired after being a member
for years going to nearly every game, buying extra season tickets so my kids
can see the RedV run out with passion when their older and still be here to watch them.

You may tolerate debacles yr after yr but not me,
So maybe stop worrying about those whinging.

I wanted to wait for the hysteria to die down before I commented on our last loss, but that doesn't look like happening any time soon.

So here goes (don't kill me).

I've made no secret about the fact that Quinlan looks like a half back to me, but I wouldn't have started that particular experiment against Souff$ of all teams. I would have had him play half for the cutters for a week or two first, but it seems that Price isn't brave enough to demote his fringe first graders. Sadly, I could only listen to the match on radio from the car, and so it's hard for me to form an opinion about how he went.

What I could tell though, was that our forward defence was soft, and that the refereeing wasn't kind. But is that the end of everything? Are we doomed to suck all year? I think not.

We need more starch up front (that much is obvious). How's my mate Mat Groat looking? Or how, good would Tim Grant look in Dragons colours? Or even Sims?

But... as far as forming a lynch mob, and going after coach Price with pitch forks and fiery torches goes.... No! At least not yet.

The thing about Price is when was the last time you thought wow that was a smart call - either with selections, late selection changes, tactics which match the team we are playing, player management etc etc. truth is the guys were giving it all on Sunday but played a dumb game, and pretty dumb against Brisbane too as well as just about every game in 12 and 13. Other teams know not to expect anything different. We have a pretty classy and speedy backline, a pack with a lot of promise and speed but a bit small - who could truthfully say our game plan on Sunday reflected this reality. Plenty of talent and potential which is not being complimented with smart and good management.

Brian Smith would be good for a club/player clean out. 2 year contract only, because after two years some of our key players would have had enough of his prickly attitude. That's my two bobs.

Actually I thought the choice of Witt to half was a pretty good selection for the first game - even though I was unsure of it to start with. I think the choice of Witt this game is a good choice too. I think the attempt at slowing the game down for the Rabbits was a good choice but executed poorly. Things like player management you are never going to know.

I wouldn't read too much into the two year Brian Smith theory. 5 years at St George and 10 years at the Eels. The guy is a genius coach, just very unlucky in GF's.

Spot on. He is definately the type of guy you want if you have good juniors because he gets the best out of them that is for sure.

No to Smith, would take Brown tomorrow though if i could. Believe he has done his time in the ESL & provided STH get to the final 2 this season over there (which is a strong chance going on their current record) then I'd give him another go. Was totally against this initially but 2 1/4 years of Price is just about doing my head in. Yes we've got a 60% win rate but against what opposition so far? (Tigs excluded). The writing is seriously on the wall if we get licked by the drizzle and the rorters this month. Time to act before the slide continues IMO.

He could step in and overrule some of dumb decisions that Price makes. I'm referring to Stanley's selection and the indecision with halfback.
