Jeff Robson is not the answer, he is a good A grade half back and thats it. Mortimer is to small and will be run over by the opposition. Stats speak for themselves, with Tim Smith the eels never missed the semis he isnt there and we struggle. There has been no attack since 2007 preliminary final. Forget his off field behaviour, its a risk we need to take. He gives the team options and with Kris Keating in the number 6 jersey, hayne at fullback and burt in wenty our team will once again be a force to reckoned with.

from all reports tim's career is pretty much dead and he is the one responsible.

no need to waste time on him anymore. i think our club has gone way beyond its responsibility to tim in the past and couldn't help him grow up (yeah i know bi-polar blahblah) but i really don't think the environment of him being in a professional sport team and being constantly under the microscope is the best thing for our club and definitely not the best thing for him.

the best thing for him is what he did when he first left us and that's to go home, get help, get a normal job and be around the people who are close to him.

it's unrealistic because it saddens me to say he isn't a quality 7 anymore. the bloke is not even a shadow of what he couldv'e been or was.

if we were to import a player then it should be matt head but i think anderson should be starting to give mortimer some nrl exposure.

By letting him go, it pretty much stuffed his career up, there's no way he'll get back into the NRL.

Good player with a lot of potential, just wasted.
