Broncos need to forget about Hannant and sign Tolman. A much, much better prospect for half the price.

tolman would probably be nearly worth as much as hannant by now, he has established himself as a very good prop. but id still rather us go after hannant :)

tolman comes from melbourne he would ask for more money for sure. he is young so he would want all the money he could get, i would pay the same amount as hannant is asking for him, thats how much of a star tolman is

He is a 20yr old prop. He is not worth over 200k and everybody, including himself and his manager know it. Nobody will pay top dollar for an unproven 20yr old prop. Except maybe the Rabbitohs.

come on mate, when tolman is not out injured he is in the top 10 props in the nrl.

And he needs to show that form for atleast 2 or 3 years before he is worth that kind of money.

He is definitely in the top 10 on performance, but he doesn't deserve the big bucks until he proves he can do it for more than 6 weeks.

He is still out injured. Not gonna prove his worth in 10 games. He needs to do it for 2 or 3 seasons.

Ben Hannant To Return To Brisbane

The WOW Brisbane Broncos today announce that Ben Hannant will return to the club after agreeing to a four-year deal that will take him through until the end of 2014.
Hannant agreed to terms last week but the Broncos have waited for him to be released from his 2011 contract by the Bulldogs, a process that was completed yesterday.
The Bulldogs agreed to the Hannant clearance after the signing of Aiden Tolman from Melbourne and the provision of a non-cash commercial arrangement for Queensland-based Bulldogs supporters.
“It is good to have Ben back on our books,” said Broncos’ chief executive Bruno Cullen this morning.
“He has spent considerable time at the club in recent years and he knows and fits into the Broncos’ system really well.
“He is a prop forward of the highest quality and will be a great asset to the Brisbane Broncos club.”
Hannant has already played 70 first-grade games for the Broncos in a stint between 2006 and 2008.
The 25-year-old made his Queensland Origin debut from the Broncos club in 2008 and last year attained international status when he represented the Kangaroos in four Tests.

Good news. All the talk of Tolman on this thread is giving him too much credit. While he's potentially a top line prop he can't be mentioned in the same breath as Hannant based on where their careers are at.

Please say it ain't so, why not re-sign Tronc ? Can't see the sense after Hannants' signing unless it's 4 50k. Hannant, Kenny, Tronc, Anderson, Dodds, Lui, Hala.............WHY ? Waste of coin in our cap as he wasn't good enough last time so let's move on.:(

WTF?? Where has anything been confirmed about us signing Myers?? I'd rather keep Sims than even contemplate signing Myers.

Wait, wait, wait! Where did you hear this?

I like Meyers and wouldn't mind signing him if it was cheap but priority would go to all our current props before we signed him.
