The only way that's going to happen is if Redcliffe are on board. I'd guess they'd want the training base and some sort of equity. Of course it's still possible that the bid may later form a joint venture with another party (eg. the Ipswich bid) and change the name. Everything is provisional at this point for all the bids.
A bit of sherlock Holmes here. If it startes with a B and may upset another bid. Therefore I deduce that it could be Boomers (reds), Bruins (Bears) or Bulls (CQLD) or Bombers (Jets).
In geographically separate semi pro suburban comps it probably wasn't even a consideration where else a name was used. And taking forward those names to honour tradition is a no brainer. But in billion dollar professional national and international leagues, is it too much to ask that, when a new team comes along, the marketing gurus actually earn their money by coming up with something original? A wombat might not seem sexy to the marketing folks but you can be sure in professional sport it's going to be uniquely recognisable anywhere in the world you take it. And surely the world stage is where the game and every team involved in it should be aiming to one day carve their names?
