I think a lot of people here are reading a hell of a lot into some 80 yr old’s comments which have been subsequently refuted by the Chair of the Balmain board .. your opinion is probably just as valid as his

Could it work ? Yes

but Balmain would be losing games at lo so what’s the point

no way easts tigers play many games at leichardt oval so unless Sydney clubs move their home games there it’s a non starter

You have to remember Balmain as an entity doesn't even have a nsw cup team, they are well below all that, as much as we put shit on newtown, at least they are reserve grade... I would suggest that Leo or whom he thinks he represents would break away just to do that, there's SFA chance of garnering a NRL licence in Sydney or NSW that ship sailed a very long time ago

There isn’t a lot to Leo’s comments at the moment being anything more than a personal opinion

The press release is garbage, it purely a nothing to see here/arse covering, fire blanket... there's another article that has confidential back and forth stating they are all sick of HBG running the club, and they feel unrepresented and have resentment against the current set up of the leadership and the review that was set up...

and when they were last in NSW Cup wasn’t it Balmain Ryde Eastwood? Couldn’t even stand alone at that point
