If Ipswich is 25k to 30k, then they should play majority of their home games at the ground, except for Broncos and Dolphins. Ipswich could transfer those two home games to Suncorp.

Not a fan of rectangular sports played on oval grounds. It's up to the oval sports to fill it up with content.
QLD isn't building any non-Olympic stadiums for a while, like maybe a decade of more.

You have to ask yourself if they generate any new fans though, I would argue that Ipswich is Broncos territory right now.

I also think that your emotive discussion around "healing" means nothing in 2025, and only Boomers were around in 88.

Regardless It's not realistic to think the BRL would have survived against the cashed up Sydney teams with or without the Broncos.

Clearly the 2 Brisbane sides are thriving, let's leave them be for at least a decade.
You think the 25k Dolphins fans are all existing Broncos fans? I think some are. I'm a member of both for example. But there is certainly a core Dolphins only fanbase of around 15k. That is new business for the NRL. And whichever way you want to play it, the fact is that on average 25k more tickets are getting sold every fortnight in Brisbane than were before the Phins and 30k new memberships are being sold. No business or sporting organisation is saying no to that.

So what if the Broncos are big in Ipswich, they were probably big in Redcliffe too (probably still are). These are the same tired arguments trotted out against the Dolphins and against a second NZ team. Rivalries fuel interest and growth in the game.

SEQ is a hardcore RL area and is more than big enough to support four team, and the three in the greater Brisbane area will easily all be able to climb over the 25k average attendance mark.

Say you want about the "emotional" argument, I've also put forward a couple of very logical points also. But there is a feel good factor about the Dolphins making it to the NRL and the Jets would be no different. These clubs mean a lot to their communities outside of "boomers".

Also, I've never argued for them to be brought in anytime before 2032 and in my view, preferably as team 21 after Christchurch.

I’ve never really subscribed to this argument. Kids in Ipswich have pathways to the NRL and will be found if they’re good enough, adding an Ipswich team just means they might go through a different system.

In saying that Ipswich, Toowoomba, Tigers etc all already run junior teams in the QLD Comps. Those will probably be improved with some investment with an NRL team at the top but it doesn’t bring many if any new players.

PNG, Christchurch and yes even Perth bring new players in to elitepathways, players that otherwise look elsewhere (Union) or don’t have great access to pathways like PNG historically.

Plenty going for Ipswich to be team 20-21, a near certainty I’d imagine for one of those spots, I just think there are bigger strengths to be selling for their entry.
More local pathways equals more opportunity for more talent to be given an opportunity and inspires more local kids to take up the game in the future. Ipswich is a massive nursery and will benefit the game player-wise way more than a Perth and Adelaide ever will.

I would personally like to see Christchurch as team 20 in 2033 followed by Ipswich as number 21. It is up to Ben Ikin and others involved in Qld rugby league to convince, lobby the Qld govt. and the NRL about Ipswich.
They should lobby for a 40k seat stadium in Ipswich

That would be amazing for the team and the sport
