Losing both TMM and Moylan in a season is unforgivable. The Cows might have the two best halves in the comp and they still chased TMM hard. That is smart. We are dumb, we trade Moylan for an ageing Maloney coming off his worst season in recent memory and we probably paid him more. That's f**king dumb. Maloney is on a retirement deal ffs, he was chasing that last big payday and he got it from us.

I wouldn't of dropped TMM in the 1st place. We had many issues not just him but once he was and he thought he wouldn't get back in and wanted out? You would make him stay?

Maloney and Cleary will be the halves but there is a few decent halves that will do a great job in NSW Cup. a fit JT will push him out but I guess he knows this is JT's last season so can get the job after

I dont get paid big money to manage these guys but since you ask I would've fired the coach, or got rid of Moylan at the end of 2016 and focused on the talent we had.

Being a man manager is the most important part of the coaching job if you cant do that you cant coach. I find it very hard to believe that Moylan is a difficult player to manage, as previously stated he was a model NRL player up until midway through 2016.

He fractured his back in 2016. That will need to be managed his whole career maybe the shortcuts BEFORE that wasn't as noticeable. Then snowballed from there but you don't send a player to rehab for no reason.

Some of his best performances for us came after that injury so I cant speculate whether it was a factor or not.

Edit: and I would've had TMM on the bench and went with Moylan/Cleary halves combo for 2017.

Moylan after Origin 2016 was as good as he has ever been. Although he wasnt really playing as a fullback or a half. He just came in and did whatever the f**k he wanted.

He knew when he needed the ball. He got it. Couldnt really plan it though. It was purely instinct. Closest we got to that in 2017 was against the Raiders in that last 5 minutes.

Best player in the comp at the end of 2016

Makes a mockery of the whole TMM saga. He was one of our best players early season. Better than Cleary, in fact. His falling completely out of favour cannot possibly have been form related.

It certainly wasn't. He's pretty good on the field.

Unsure why coach had him train at 5/8
If you are talking about the Broncos final, my suggestion is so that he could be brought on as a strike weapon in the latter stages, having excelled in that role the previous game, without having to take off a forward. It will be remembered that he came on for Merrin in the Manly game.

He got over the line 3 times v Storm only to drop it. Gone the next week it was all so weird

Griffin cannot maintain a squad. He couldn't do it at Brisbane with all their money and power, he isn't going to be able to do it at Penrith, we have already seen that. Between Hook and Gould we are really going to struggle to get the consistency in the squad that we need to be successful.

Moylan had Fifita & Graham in his ear saying he is getting shafted $$$ wise after he signed on for just on 500k

This was after he came back from origin in 2016 into seasons end, amazing that is just around the time Moylan started throwing the toys out the cot and started acting like a little f**kn brat...

Strange that...

But that is the coaches fault i guess.

And what a surprise, where did he end up....

But yes, Gould and Griffins fault..

If it were a one off event. This would make sense.

Individually you can blame the players. When theres a long history of the same event happening... the coach and GM are clearly at fault an issue aswell.

But no... these guys cant ever be wrong. Can they? Its always someone elses fault.

That was the strange thing he would of been off contract for this year. He re-signed for that figure really was a strange move from him

Yeah im sure you have inside details lol. Funny that after that origin series he f**king killed it for us while apparently having a tantrum and taking the piss at training. I don't believe the club or Gould.

It happened at Brisbane also. Gagai, Norman etc. He cannot maintain a squad and he lets the talented guys go for guys like Copley and Hoffman and the ageing Scott Prince. His recruitment and retention at Brisbane was a farce, and there were players who left because of him f**king them around the same way he has f**ked Moylan, Carty, Waqa, Peachey and others around.

But yeah the fact that its happening again here at Penrith is nothing to do with Hook LOL it is literally the exact same shit happening here that happened at Brisbane but again of course the majority of our fans believe the spin doctor. The guy who got up in front of members last year and praised himself for creating a stable squad, how ridiculous.

When did the club say this happened? I read it but nothing offical from the club? He did go to test tour though that could of made it worse. He said he was going to look around in June. Yet Sept re-signed I thought it was weird at the time

There was mention in the media at the time about Moylan having his shark mates in his ear but that's all I heard.

Nothing to do with Gus. I see who we keep to who has gone and we still re-sign players. aside from RCG every member of the team has re-signed under Gould and Hook...

Oh so because he killed it for us for 3 months after Origin, that doesnt mean he didnt have an issue.. Yet the same time he was killing it last season, he also wasn't have tantrums and taking the piss..

The best part is that if he were doing this at another club people would be laughing at how dumb that club was.

The club was in better shape than ever before he arrived. But all the hard work getting there is being pissed away as people are happy to accept being a fringe top 8 side because Its better than how we were at rock bottom.

We didnt bring Gus in and put millions of dollars into this team to be a fringe top 8 team. Gus. Ivan and Brennan didnt work hard for all those years to simply be satisfied with scraping into the finals.

Aside from our coach we have had everything in place to be the next powerhouse club. A side no team would write off. But what team fears us now? Spooners might fear us racking up a score against them. Good teams know we arent a threat.
