Losing both TMM and Moylan in a season is unforgivable. The Cows might have the two best halves in the comp and they still chased TMM hard. That is smart. We are dumb, we trade Moylan for an ageing Maloney coming off his worst season in recent memory and we probably paid him more. That's f**king dumb. Maloney is on a retirement deal ffs, he was chasing that last big payday and he got it from us.
I wouldn't of dropped TMM in the 1st place. We had many issues not just him but once he was and he thought he wouldn't get back in and wanted out? You would make him stay?
Maloney and Cleary will be the halves but there is a few decent halves that will do a great job in NSW Cup. a fit JT will push him out but I guess he knows this is JT's last season so can get the job after
I dont get paid big money to manage these guys but since you ask I would've fired the coach, or got rid of Moylan at the end of 2016 and focused on the talent we had.
Being a man manager is the most important part of the coaching job if you cant do that you cant coach. I find it very hard to believe that Moylan is a difficult player to manage, as previously stated he was a model NRL player up until midway through 2016.
He fractured his back in 2016. That will need to be managed his whole career maybe the shortcuts BEFORE that wasn't as noticeable. Then snowballed from there but you don't send a player to rehab for no reason.
