No surprises they were winning by less than 6 usually. That sort of luck isn't sustainable.

They are a 5-8 team, probably the latter

Looks like their season is starting fall around them....

We won't know until we actually have our full team on the field (ie Halves). One more game without those guys (though possibly three as we have to back up after each origin game as well, depends how they pull up). Then we have 6 out our last 8 at home (well at ANZ) which should help somewhat.

How long is Perrett, Klemmer and Morris out for? Add them to Pritchard out for the season and it's more then just the halves in Origin

Perrett and Klemmer out 6 weeks (which is 5 matches), Morris is rumoured to be back for Origin 3, so possibly only 2-3 more matches to be missed. But really forward depth isn't a problem, covering Perrett could be a blessing in disguise as he is honest but nothing much more, so it forces Des to try some other options.

But really it's getting the halves and a strong kicking game back. Just look at yesterdays game, we kicked it to Sandow once, he dropped it, and then we never kicked it at him again. Was a silly kicking game when we could have exploited what should have been a weakness.

They've got dis the dogs. They'll win the grand final. Des has them sneaking under the raider.

"But but but I can guarantee you the Dallas Cowboys won't release their star quarterback for a single game".

I don't and never have disagreed with this. Part of being a top 4 team is your depth.

We might sneak in to the top 4 but more likely is a 5-8 finish.

Yea our depth is our problem. With a fully fit team we can match it with the top sides but as soon as we lose a few players we don't have the quality to replace them

Can't see us missing the 8 but don't see top 4 either

Creativity is my biggest issue with the Dogs side, I'm just not convinced they've got enough points in them to go all the way.

Their halves aren't overly creative, they lack a fullback, Ennis doesn't provide any points & there's not a whole lot going for them out on the fringes.

Then again the Drgaons won a Grand Final in 2010 without great attack & the Bulldogs are strong defensively.

At this moment they average 18.46 points per game, 5th worst in the league. Only Newcastle, Cronulla, St George & Gold Coast average less.

Yeah but you guys don't rely on dominate halves. It's a power game things like Jackson in the centres on top of Pritchard out takes a strength away. Origin hasn't helped but you guys had your halves against Manly. Mybe injured didn't help either

Don't really care what others think. Once the boys are back on deck, we will see how we go. If we can get back to stopping teams scoring points, then we don't need to score that many ourselves to win.

The Bulldogs are a better version of the Titans. Ladder position does not tell their story. They are a 5th-8th team. Not top 4. Not premiership material. I was right about the Titans when I said similar while they were peaking, I'll be right about them.

Absolutely right re the halves. But they are key players even if they aren't dominate. Hodkinson's kicking game (and even Reynold's) shits all over what anyone else has. Plus Hodkinson leads and controls the team perfectly whilst Reynolds is a constant threat and can turn even the smallest mistake by the opposition into a line break or a try.

Manly match we simply switched off after about 25 minutes and let DCE run wild for a bit and from there we were playing catchup football which is never easy to do in the wet. Prior to that we were controlling the match really well. But that happens sometimes and Manly deserved the win no doubt as they were the better side.

On Sunday we had so many chances but because we had halves that were completely incompetetent at both kicking and setting up attacking plays we were never going to score many points. Both teams at full strength and we would beat Parra more often than not IMO.

This.

People also seem to judge a team based on current form instead of what they have actually achieved with a full team on the pitch.

We've knocked off Melbourne, Roosters, and Souths among others, and there are many more to come!

Posting on a forum to tell everyone you don't care what they think.

It always gets me...

Whats next? Going to a Vineyard and telling everyone you don't like wine?

We're a top four team, no doubt about it, and have a shot at the premiership. If we can jag one or two wins before the end of Origin, we'll come home with a wet sail. We should have everyone bar Pritchard back in the next 4-5 weeks max.
