What are the odds triple m get bad press now in the telegraph for the next little period seeing as they got rid of one of their own.

I agree it can be a fine line, but in this case the line was very clearly defined by someone asking his coworkers to stop.

I have only heard the Ray Hadley edit of events (so maybe/probably doesn’t give the full story) but from what I have heard it is quite a clear case of workplace harassment.

Hadley had similar claims against him but wasn't fired. So he would know I guess

For the record. I hope Kent goes down would be epic to see.

When you work for news ltd being a low life piece of sht journo is the expectation.
I’ve said this elsewhere so I apologise for repeating but I think calling Kent a ‘journo’ gives him more credibility than he deserves; when was the last time he did a story that included more research than hearing a rumour and publishing.

No, Kent is 100% a gossip columnist.

The rugby league media are all typical journalists. Absolutely of no use what so ever and do the best to bring down that which pays their salaries.

Maybe Kent could put on a dress or a nice pant suit and join the ranks of the labor party.

Does anyone else wonder if the ATO will be knocking on someone's door soon ?

The best way to deal with bullies in the past was to stand up to them or even fight them.
Unfortunately this behaviour is now frowned upon so they are running wild.
Had to tell a bloke I work with to stop calling me a name twice.
The second time I made it clear there would be no third.
He stopped instantly.
Because bullies are guttless dogs

Kent and Hooper are probably trying to be like Matty Johns or Fletch who both take the piss out others but the difference is Johns and Fletch do not take themselves seriously, are likeable, and do a lot of self deprecation as well.
Hooper and more so Kent just actually look like bullying, mongrel dogs which isn't necessarily their fault but they also aren't likeable people and cant take a joke about themselves which is totally their fault.

Great to hear Maroon back hosting the show on MMM again today. Just filling in I suspect.
So much better then Dobbo.

Agree, really miss Maroon on the Sunday show. One thing was I actually enjoyed the banter on the show and thought that Maroon gave as good as he got, obviously we dont see the goings on in the background and he'd had enough.
The biggest surprise now is that with Dobbo on the show I'd suggest things have escalated, it's constant fat jokes and every time Dobbo has a crack at one of them they all gang up on him. Again, dont know the behind the scenes things and what the personal relationships are but still very surprised considering what happened last year.

I’m not sure where Dobbo sits on the presenter panel, is he mates with the other presenters or is his humour appreciated by higher ups at MMM, to me it just sad, out of date banter. The Sunday show is not what it once was. The Saturday scrum shits over the Sunday sunbin

The Sunday Triple M show is getting dangerously close to the same sort of ‘banter’ that saw Maroon walk away and Kent kicked out.
Dobbo is clearly matey with them all, but the abuse, particularly about his weight, is relentless. Even if it is banter between mates (and it’s the sort of banter I’m ok with and I have with my mates; with me often being the target), I’d say any organisation like Triple M has a duty to society to not glorify that type of banter, particularly after what went on there with Maroon - as whilst Dobbo seems fine with it (and even encourages it at times), you can never be sure what impact it’s having inside - Maroon was very similar, it all seemed like a joke he was happy to go along with, until he felt it went too far…..
I’m surprised Triple M have let it get back to this sort of level.
As per the above, I posted something very similar on the James Hooper thread last week..
Triple M are on dangerous ground allowing this type of ‘banter’ to continue (and escalate).
Also agree it was great to have Maroon back on the show on Saturday, the shows are definitely poorer for not having him on.
As for the Sunday show, the big issue is Hooper, he’s desperate to please Tallis and James Graham with his ‘alpha’ banter - desperate to align himself as ‘one of the boys’ with the ex-players, as though that sits him above the presenters/other journos.

Never listened to the show since Maroon was bullied out of it.

Karma got Kent and now just waiting for Hooper to fall the same way.

Do I remember correctly Maroons parting shot to Hooper was something like "You wouldn't want me to bring up the reason that I have to give you a lift every Sunday to the studio"

Happy for someone to correct or clarify this, I'm sure it was this or something similar.

Found this:

In last week’s uncomfortable incident, Maroon warned his co-hosts that he would share stories about them that they don’t want made public if they continued to push the issue.

As they continued, he detailed that Hooper is unable to drive after losing his licence and made reference to Tallis.
