Cabra played trial against Shellharbour yesterday in Sheelharbour. Wasn't at game but heard Cabra was very impressive. Ended up winning 32 - 26 but lead by plenty before late surge from the marlins.
Shellharbour apparently had a few players sent back from dragons squad. Cabra were without expected startinting front row of Yates, Parker and Jones.

Old Cabra boy here and wish the 2 blues another sterling year in the JBC in 2008, I was really cheering hard for them last year

Always great to see the old traditional 2 blues style Cabra jersey that I still proudly wear every now and then

I posted this in another thread but thought it should go in here too

Cabra win 24-4 in Round 1
The Cabramatta Two-Blues ground out a scratchy first up win over the very competitive Campbelltown Eagles. In the end the Two Blues were victorious 24-4 but at times the match seemed much closer. Fullback Sammy Agia was named Players Player after an impressive performance, while debutant Dean Lamb also earn't the praise of coach Len Stacker with a solid Jim Beam Cup debut. One major injury to come out of the match was lock Keith Heckenberg who was sent for X-rays early with what appears to be a suspected dislocated elbow.

CABRA DERAIL FRONTRUNNERS

The eighth placed Cabramatta Two-Blues took on the previously undefeated Mounties in Round 7 of the Jim Beam Cup, and prevailed victorious 32-24 in one of the games of the season. Despite their standing on the table, the two-blues showed they are a genuine title chance after beating arguably the most consistant team of the opening 7 rounds.
The Two Blues have a short preperation before taking on Chester Hill @ Terry Lamb Reserve this Friday, May 16th at 7:30pm.
Tries - Sammy Aiga (2), James Trotter, Keith Heckenberg, Jonathon Russell Goals - Aaron Fluke 6 from 6.

Jets ( and 6 other ) P/League teams had the BYE/split round last weekend in the NSWRL comp. Rhino's are affiliated with Jets to allow some of our signings a run when not playing for P/league etc. More than likely like the leaders of this comp Windsor would do for eg....

Some Jets played NRL Roosters and the lesser quality had a run with the Rhino's.

I have been following the Jets from the pram buddy. And when I could first walk the small poles that line the hill at Henson Park were above my head. lol..... ( Back in the 1970's ).

But was also one of the very few that followed them thru some of the metro years in those 1990's as well. great memories mate.;-)

from the Cabra website :

TWO BLUES HOOK SHARKS

The Cabramatta Two-Blues snagged themselves a nice catch, hooking the Southern Sharks 44-18 in Round 9 of the Jim Beam Cup. It was vintage Cabramatta early in the first half before the side took its foot off the pedal to lead 26-6 at Halftime. A strong start to the second half secured the victory before a try on the bell against the run of play to the Sharks added creditability to the scoreline. In all, the Two Blues scored 8 tries to three and never looked like losing, despite the Sharks turning in a spirited display.
Best players for the Two Blues was Players Player Si'ikeaha Teaupa, replacement forward Albert Tuara, centre and eventual Man of the Match Allan Burns and Hooker Scott Jones, while Casey Ellis and Ross Brown were again strong up front.
The Two Blues venture to Ringrose Park next Sunday June 1st at 1:30pm against Wentworthville.
Tries - Alan Burns (2), Sammy Aiga, Louis Vaiotu, James Trotter, Casey Ellis, Ross Brown and Albert Tuara Goals - Aaron Fluke 6 from 8.
