after all the hype of this thread i watched it last night and thought it was good. Different and I havent seen so many boobs as a cheap ratings grab sinnce chances!!!

but behind the boobies it has a decent story that I found enjoyable.

As for the caliFORNICATION......I only got it last night aswell.......is that the same thing behind the RCHP album and song? As i thought the same a Wheelsy.

I didn't find the first scene blasphemous. I mean it was kind of obvious the chick wasn't a real Nun and I didn't think Hank was praying to the statue of Jesus but more trying to cover his eyes, which made me smile seeing as God can see everything.

Who said he was meant to be praying? I thought the exact same thing as you and thought it was obvious.....he (from the camera angle we got) covered Jesus' eyes so he couldnt see him - was funny!

But the character is 16 which I think is the equivalent of a 14 year old character in an Aus/NZ show (2 years underage). I certainly think you're delving into murky waters when displaying an underage character having sex with an adult, especially when the underage character isn't being portrayed as a victim (therefore restoring the moral equilibrium) as in crappy shows like SVU et al.

Not saying I agree that the show is morally reprehensible, just think if normal standards are being applied consistently this type of content should be regarded as such. Displaying an ostensibly underaged character as sexually attractive is the essence of child porn, is it not? Probably the sort of thing best left for an arthouse film or something.

It's a storyline about an underage girl being statutorily raped wherein the underaged victim is presented topless for titillation- there's a pretty clear reason why you don't often see this sort of thing on TV.

Clearly you do have a problem with it. It's a plot point, creates conflict and actually says alot about both characters.

You're also underestimating the audience, people are clearly able to draw the distinction that the actress isn't actually 16.
