Robbed of mom imo. Most points in a gf and grabbed the team by the throat when they started to get loose. Papa was exciting but Cam once again won us the game,
would of been happy with either, Papi definately deserved it though, NAS did good too
I think they may have shied away from Cam due to the predictability

If he leaves, he leaves the storm on a high. And to do it without Slater, Cronk, and to an extent GI, it cements Smith as the greatest in the current generation.

The argument for Joey and Thurston was they didn't havent have the same talent and won a title, Smith has checked this off this list.

Certainly the greatest in the NRL ear.

His longevity is amazing and his greatest attribute. He doesn't have a Johns Origin 2 '05 level God-mode performance in him though so nah, not the best ever but up there.

id say his leadership and game management is by far his greatest attributes. Not sexy, not going to make highlight reels but it wins you games, origins, tests and premierships. That’s what makes him the goat for me.

I don't think he is the greatest player of all time but he's definitely the best hooker of all time there's no doubt about that he's still killing it and only missed a few games through injury this year. IMO he's not retiring and will play again in 2021.

The bloke whether you hate him or love him is a dead set freak.

I dont think we will get an announcement until pre-season next year

off the back of a GF win and a rare try for him he may be thinking atm he can go around again - and im confident he could, but let the pre-season of whats been a fairly different year set in and he'll likely give it more thought

sucks for BSmith and Grant, and the club as if he does wait til last minute as they will have a huge part of the cap left to spend with not much time, but it is what it is

You need to stop taking people's posts out of context. Clam down, FFS.!

I brought up 03-05 Origin to highlight that they are mortal, just like everyone else. It's also the only time they had to play against established stars who were in a stronger team. Johns was hardly at his peak around this period as his body was breaking down.
yes 03 benny boy bennet qld coach, 1zt origin for cam , and bellyache bellamy made cam captain storm at age 23 I read

yes I've seen cam kick a match winning field goal in golden point,
thatz goat material
That conversion he kicked from the sideline while slipping over was spectacular.

Definitely one of all-tine greats to have played the game.

I like quiet achievers who punch above their weight. Smith is a bit of a bully.

Congratulations on your team's win. You were the better side.

It would be disastrous for the Storm to allow this saga to continue. Grant and B Smith have said they will sign elsewhere if Scam plays another year.

The best bet for the Storm would be to send Cam to the Donkeys, on an inflated one year deal.

I cannot disagree with you. He's definitely a genius on the field.

Bsmith in that interview with freddy said something along the lines of "it's a bit tricky for me but if he stays on and gets me another one of these (GF ring) i'll be happy - we shouldn't be forcing him out of the game"
sounds like he's happy to buy his time continuing as is - Grant will likely stay at tigpies tho

The more I think about it I dont see Cam playing for another club, for all accounts he was dirty with cronk for leaving the storm as he values being a one-club player. Him and Slater had statues at AAMI announced for when smith retires - cronk misses out because he left (bit harsh IMO)

A coaching/consultancy role at another club is more likely, but am thinking he will either continue in some capacity at the Storm, or have a break from the game
